I wouldn't expect any of the u20s to be called up. The laddie Davidson at ch was actually released last season by Utd because he was deemed not good enough then was asked back in the summer on a £1 a week contract because the u20s were so short on numbers. As it turns out, recently he's actually been getting a game ahead of Scott Reekie who was kept on and given an improved contract . Neither are particularly good and in fact by all accounts the boy Reekie is poor and it was something of a mystery as to why he was kept on.
Embarrassing if we are paying anybody £1 a week.

This is one of the few away matches I was gonna attend this Season, but unfortunately a family wedding this Setirday. P1sh.

Was gonna say "at least the pies are good" and so they are but courtesy of a pending knee op, I'm on a diet and pies are out. Will be going back after game to Dunfermline supporting in-laws and not looking forward to it

Im going for 3-1 us, Keatings with 2 and Billy King with the other. Hope im right haha
Saw Dunfermline in their opening Bet Fred game, against it has to be said, a woeful Elgin side.
Difficult to read too much into it but I remember thinking they were well organised and played to a system that their players looked comfortable in and all knew their roles.
Full backs (particularly the right back) liked to get forward so hopefully we can exploit the space they leave.
Good possession and movement by us will be the key and I'd like us to be positive (without going daft) but I suspect we'll sit in and try to stifle them.
At least we go into it having got through a stiff test last week so hopefully we can build on that

Good result today, more like how it should be. Happy for Ray too, just wish he'd realised earlier, like everyone else, that 2 up top is better.

I've been very critical of McKinnon (and rightfully so).
But that's two good wins in a row.I reckon they have saved his job actually.
Time for us to put our foot on the pedal now and spark a title winning run.

Much better than expected performance today, I was worried looking at the Dunfermline players that we'd get out-muscled. Distributions from the back was poor at times, but both Willo and Jamie Robson came onto a game.
Dunfermline looked like a lumbering side who were, dare I saw it, less than fit. Some of our play was frustrating, some really good passing too.
Well done everyone.

Fantastic victory today, definitely the best I've seen us under Ray. Hopefully we've turned the corner now playing two up front. A lot of great individual performances, thought King and McMullan had their best games for us. Second half the team were playing passes and through balls into the final third that we just haven't seen under McKinnon. Very impressed with them today.
Also, Flood has to be a stick-on for Right back from now on, miles better than either of they two donkeys we've played there this season.

A great result. Livi next, we've never had a great record against them. Win and put pressure on St Mirren though.

Agree with this. I thought Willo was immense.

a thoroughly deserved 3 points today plenty of good performances Fyvie Mcdonald and Robson, yes Robson all played well. Dunfermilne looked pish they scored with their only chance. Downside steak bridie was cold.

Very surprised with this today really fucking happy with that win.
Thought we started slow and took for our goal before we took hold of the game.
Felt we xould have had 1 or 2 more goals.
Dyvie was very good for us. Again mcdonald keatings both very good.
We really need to kick on and show the rest we mean business. Like we have said for weeks its a good team on paper just the negative tactics formations that may have been holding them back.
Lets hope we have turned the corner.

Thoroughly enjoyed the 1st half from my view in the home stand which I was treated too and also enjoyed the rest of the hospitality from my Dunfermline supporting in-laws. What was best, however, was Rays conversion on the road to "Halbeath Road", defending properly (Edje was my star man) and using the space provided to counter effectively with 2 up front. Why has it taken him 68 games to get it right and now that the threat of the sack and the "Couriers" advice has shown the way, can he be trusted to stay on track for the rest of the season. Willo was right at home at RB and Fyvie, goals apart also impressed.
Odd that, decent result two weeks running and strangely quiet praise wise for Ray
Who'd have thought 🙄

I wouldn't say it was odd, more cautious.
After 18months of garbage it will take more than 2 good results to change opinions, although it is a good start.
The expectations with our squad and also the weakness of the challengers are that we should be doing exactly what we have the past few weeks but for months instead.
I'm sure if he does the praise will be forthcoming.
