Dunfermline v dundee utd

Saturday we travel to the league leaders.

Very hard match which i see us going with a negative game plan instead of going out and attacking.
Can see this being our starting 11
Harry
Robson
Edge
Durnan
Murdoch
Fyvie
Briels
King
Mcmullan
Keatings
Mcdonald

If all fit

Agree with the team but hope you're wrong about the negative plan. My head says you will be right.

Re: Dunfermline v dundee utd

Not sure what the injury situation is but put Fraser in that 11 instead of Briels and that's our strongest side.

Re: Dunfermline v dundee utd

I think Briels gives important bite. Fraser on off the bench.

Agree wi the comments as far as the team goes, when Fraser's fit he should play.

2-1 United.

Re: Dunfermline v dundee utd

If Fraser plays he needs to play CM, for me he is a passenger out wide.

Re: Dunfermline v dundee utd

I was under the illusion that Fraser was out indefinitely due to a recurring injury?

Re: Dunfermline v dundee utd

He's scuttering around with his foot, the club are never very good at progress reports.
I hope it's not more serious than it would appear but it's been going on for a long time now, a whole 12 months maybe?
If we continue to improve as a team & get a head of steam up & are more combative then Fraser to my mind would be a very important cog in the wheel cos he still represents our best effort at creativity.

Re: Dunfermline v dundee utd

Ray saying he only has 4 fit defenders. Well, should the club not be doing something about it. What happens if 1 of the 4 gets injured?

Re: Dunfermline v dundee utd

Are the Unfit Four Tam, Tosh, Quinn & Edje in that order?
Murdoch, Durnan, Robson ok?
Allardice potentially a replacement?
Cammy's back at Montrose isn't he & that's just up the road. Not sure how well he'd do tho.
Shouldn't have let Sean go.

;)

Re: Dunfermline v dundee utd

Cammy should never have been allowed to go out on loan again.  For a start he looks a better player than both Toshney and Murdoch and even just for cover at the back.

Re: Dunfermline v dundee utd

I don't think players can be recalled from loan nowadays as easily as in the past.

Are we reaping the benefits of signing players with terrible injury records? Or is Raymond playing mind games?

Re: Dunfermline v dundee utd

I wouldn't expect any of the u20s to be called up.  The laddie Davidson at ch was actually released last season by Utd because he was deemed not good enough then was asked back in the summer on a £1 a week contract because the u20s were so short on numbers.  As it turns out, recently he's actually been getting a game ahead of Scott Reekie who was kept on and given an improved contract . Neither are particularly good and in fact by all accounts the boy Reekie is poor and it was something of a mystery as to why he was kept on.

£1 a week?  That's surely no the living wage?

To be fair Slateford I doubt that.
Only one way to find out but in the absence of him playing a run of games in our first team if he was getting rave reports from Links Park then we might be permitted to get Man United (excited).

Altho it may look like it I don't think we've been taking a gamble on players' injury records.
Scobbie, Toshney, Keatings, Quinn & N'Koyi don't have bad injury records I don't think.
Stanton maybe a wee bit concerning if he has to be looked after at training.

Yeah, 2nd point re mind games. Generally speaking I think you normally do make it sound worse than it actually is.

Scobbie, Keatings and Quinn have had dreadful injury problems. N'Koyi hasn't played many first team games given his age, but I don't know if that has been down to injuries. Toshney...........

Don't know what you mean by the second part.
