I remember his hattrick of free kicks well. My future wife asked me for a dance that night while i was out celebrating. Hated mckinnon ever since 😂😂😂😂😂

Scott Crabbe's free kicks were as good as penalties for a time, and I mind a series of free kicks where Bannon crossed for Gough to head in important goals in the mid-eighties, three games in a row, winners against Aberdeen (x2) and Celtic.
The one that sticks out for me is Narey's against Werder Bremen in '82, although it wasn't direct.
Is it only to be based on direct free kicks?

Charlie Mulgrew scored a beauty for us on his debut versus ICT.
Power, swerve and went in the postage stamp.Though it's probably forgotten by many because we lost the game 2-4 (he scored both our goals).
I can't remember one - have we had any in the recent past? Like when was the last one?
Eammon Bannon v Motherwell in the second last game of the league winning season.
Iirc we were a bit flat before that opener went in - a good free kick and an important one too

was thinking about that one, also the one the week before at morton, which hit the inside of the post and left dodds a tap in, another huge moment.

Spittal scored a few in his time.
A favourite of mine is Grant Brebner's last minute winner v Hearts in about 2005

I remember Conway hitting a beauty against Hearts

Paddy Gardners free kick against Hearts in the Scottish Cup semi final 73/74. ( a screamer)
I was surprised to read that it was scored in the 67th minute, my memory had it in the dying minutes but maybe that's getting old for you.
The reason I chose this one was the significance of it, imho that goal was the catylist for the future.
We won the replay 4-2 with Graeme Payne unplayable he was sublime that night, then went on to the final ( why did he play Houston ffs)
The rest is history.

Third vote from me. Brilliant goal in a brilliant match. We were 2-0 down and struggling and that goal sparked us back into life. If I remember we went on a good run of results after that. Badger scored the equaliser which deflected off an Aberdeen player. Proper times.

That wasn't a free kick, it was a dipping half volley.
One that springs to mind was a Danny Griffin one from near the touch line, he curled it past the two man wall and in at the near post, I'm sure it was Hearts or St Johnstone it was against.

That one was against Hibs. Great goal from Hamilton in this game too:
Some miss from Brewster!

Could've sworn it was a free kick! It wasn't a dipping half volley either though
