Will we sign anyone else do you think? Will anyone else depart?
Seen a wee rumour we are after a former Spanish U21 Left back called Jon Aurtenetxe.

That's dundee not us. And no can't see it, fuck ray
I wouldn't hold my breath.
Getting Fyvie match fit will be like having a new player.

Why he never signed a big striker I'll never know, suppose we'll need to wait till January again

why the fuss about deadline day, unless we go for a late loan, all the out of contract duds who have been available all summer will still be available on friday.
Might be a few more "mutually consented" tomorrow

Loads of unemployed pros who will maybe drop their price?
Anybody know of any?
Edward Ofere's one I think.
Trouble is they'll not be match fit/

Can't see us bringing anybody in.

Our official team photo took place this morning.
So i guess that as good as means no-one else will be signed.
Otherwise why not just hold it off a day or twi?
Quite astonishing that he hasn't signed a big physical striker.
He bemoaned not having that type of player last season until we signed Thomas Mikkelsen.Who has now subsequently departed.

Alex Nicholls hasn't played for Barnet this season.

No height anywhere with the exception of the centre halfs! Watch as we get bullied week to week! Already dreading the weeks ahead!

Given we've got no-one and unlikely to sign any one, I'd play Durnan up top - we've got Edje, Quinn and when recovered from injury Scobbie + Allardice to cover at the back. I'm led to believe that Durnan used to play there & he's done no bad when he's been pressed into service up front. Heggie and Copland were great successes when they swapped roles, Welshy did a turn for us up front in a previous play off - why not Durnan. Desperately need a big strong guy up front

Don't take this as me singling out you, or your post, but we've needed a strong, solid, proper no9 for about 15 years, granted the manager's hands were tied to an extent last season, but he's had a blank canvas to work with since May.
How fucking depressing is it that 4 league games into the season that we're even comtemplating shoving a guy up there, who over the course of his time a the club has been a poor centre half, so we'll play him up top in the hope he might just, might grab the odd goal?
It's a shite state of affairs and I for one won't be rushing up to Tannadice ever other week if the plan is to lump long balls at 4'6" Scott McDonald like we have the last 2 games.
Stop trying to be too fucking clever, stick 2 up top, McDonald playing off a bigger guy and run at teams from the off.

Agree with that in every respect. You might have a few disagree with you on him being a poor center half but you're spot on imo.

expecting daftworks to bring in another midfielder if anything
You're not wrong. We're after a young central midfielder from Stoke called Mark Waddington. He's apparently a big strong lad, which we probably do still lack in midfield even if we have about 10 other players who can play there.
Might be another couple to join him though. The St. Mirren result might turn out to be a good thing, seems to have flegged Thompson enough for him to loosen the purse strings a bit.

Another midfielder? We do lack strength in there right enough, but you have to wonder about the management team's forward planning strategy when, for the second season running, the budget is being used in such an unbalanced manner.
