More 'great' P.R.

What a diabolical way to treat a longterm employee on a low wage.

Our club is ran by complete arseholes.

Absolute shambles. Hope those responsible are held accountable.

Re: More 'great' P.R.

We really are a laughing stock in every sense these days, very sad.

Re: More 'great' P.R.

I mind oe the lassie workin at the reception desk.

If she has a disability that's covered by the DDA, then they're right in the sh1te.

If she was on Sick Leave covered by a Doctors certificate - they're in the sh1t for that.

If as it says there are 0 hours for her, it means there's no longer a position for her. ie. we don't need you anymore. She has 6 years service, so she's entitled to Redundancy Payment of 1- 1.5 weeks salary for each year of her service depending on her age (below/above age 40) and outstanding holiday pay in lieu.

No trying to be a smart @rse. This falls into my line of work.

Re: More 'great' P.R.

Would this fall under our great general manager?

Re: More 'great' P.R.

The good news is under DUFC's own disability policy any employee who discriminates under the provisions of the act will be dealt with under the clubs disciplinary procedures.  So if this girl wins her case, and she will if the report is anywhere near the truth, then surely Southern/Thompson whichever made the decision will face disciplinary action and hopefully be sacked.

It's no surprise Utd treat staff like this, think Stevie Campbell & they treat us all like shit too,

Bye bye Southern oh and when he is sacked, he has to walk around to the other side of the ground.

Probably, but we don't actually have that many non football staff so who they gonna try and punt the blame onto?

It's easy to blame Southern, but let's be honest he's just the puppet, he doesn't actually pull the strings.  There's only 1 person actually making these decisions and getting it all so wrong.

That's hardly the point though is it?

The girl has been treated shabbily.

That is very possibly true, but we are only hearing her side at the moment.

Yip, you're right.  Given the clubs superb record of dealing with things professionally recently I'm sure that they will have done nothing wrong here either.

Re: More 'great' P.R.

Likely they have but there's always the possibility an ex employee isnt being entirely truthful.

There's 2 many stories tho, all with 1 common denominator, they're not all wrong.

Blackmail
Assault
Discrimination case

That's just the last 3 weeks, dream team wasn't this far fetched.

Bollocks. Nowt to do with result on Saturday.  Theres two sides to every story yer right. Just like when the club plastered my name all over the papers re "threats"

Anyway this will probably get settled before it goes to tribunal with the lassie signing an nda.

Re: More 'great' P.R.

Put it this way - if this happened 3/4 years ago when we were flying high and hammering teams 4-0 again every week, i pretty much guarantee most folk would not give a fuck about this.

It does show how poorly the club is being managed at the moment though.
