Re: Brechin City v Dundee Utd -19/8/17 (3pm)

The ammount of times he and to a lesser extent Durnan head the ball straight , rather than what I was always taught " head it out to the wings"
The chances we give to the opposition by heading it just to the edge of the box is worrying

I don't know a lot, but I know what I like!

It's the perfect game to give them another run tbf, no point taking risks against Brechin.

Quinn starts, Edge on bench.  Briels misses out altogether, did get a knock midweek.

Ten minutes to go still 0-0 if we can't beat Brechin at Tannadice mckinnon should be sacked tonight

Full Time -

1-0 Utd

We should be blowing teams like Brechin away at home.

Re: Brechin City v Dundee Utd -19/8/17 (3pm)

Genuinely expected some form to be hit today and a comfortable win, sounds like we were awful and scraped by.  At the end of the day all that matters is 3 points, but struggling by Brechin isn't where the club should be heading.

First and foremost the win is great. However that was fucking woeful.  Ive seen us getting humped before and play better than that. Better teams than brechin will capatalise on us playing like that.

However 9 points fae 9 going into stmirren.

Re: Brechin City v Dundee Utd -19/8/17 (3pm)

9 points out of 9 is a great start.
But once again nothing short of a very poor performance. Brechin came close to scoring a couple of times which if they had wouls have been interesting to see how we would react if went behind.
Thought Quinn looks good. Robson McDonald and fraser. Keatings and king are no impressing me much so far.
Wtf was that header all about from nkoyi?
A very hard game away to stmirren next week.

Re: Brechin City v Dundee Utd -19/8/17 (3pm)

Lots of decent lightweight football players in that team.

No height or strength though.

We can't play Stanton, Keatings, King, and Fraser at the same time.

This is the obvious problem for me,Pat.

Lots of good wee technical players.

But all very similiar ability and attributes.

If Plan A isn't working we have no variation in our play or tactics.

No-one who can shake things up for us.

I thought Paddy offered something when he came on. Put himself about and was willing to run in behind their defence.

But aye, I agree we are far too lightweight.

That was utter pish the day but it's so hard when teams just sit in like that.

Still, another 3 points on the board and the funsters beaten again, enjoy your Saturday evening fellow arabs.

Re: Brechin City v Dundee Utd -19/8/17 (3pm)

Things only started to improve when keatings was hooked(desevedly) and we switched to 4-2-3-1. A severe lack of pace in the team today. Mcmullan will walk back into the team next week.

Is McMullan back next week? I though he was getting a three game ban?

He played the whole match out wide before limping off with what looked like a recurrence of his foot injury

Can't understand that after how good he was centrally midweek.

Re: Brechin City v Dundee Utd -19/8/17 (3pm)

We were pedestrian at best, pass, pass, pass, pass, pass but as with the ladies it's nae use without penetration.

Brechin worked their socks off and deserved to get a draw. I was impressed with their No9 who bullied us in defence.

Wanted to see Fraser in the middle as the no 10 as he's wasted out wide and Kettings was rotten today and even he was releaved when it was cut short for him.

A wins a win however and we go again next week.

The last line says it all, top o' the league and undefeated.
I'd rather have our 100 percent record than they BNB over the roads 100 percent record

Re: Brechin City v Dundee Utd -19/8/17 (3pm)

Anyone in the GF explain what actually happened when they nearly scored in the 2nd half and Harry Lewis kept it out?
