Mind going to the cup game - not a classic I recall but a good day out.
I'd go with the side Bowers has put up except I'd keep Edge despite his recent displays as Quinn looked like he needed to get a bit more match fit last night.

Was at the Cup game as a bairn sat on the grass right behind the goal. Stand behind wasnae a stand as such, mair a big mound of a patchy grassy hill if i mind right.
Rare for such a wait to play a team not so far away.

We played Brechin in the cup quite a few times in the 'eighties. I seemed to mind it was raining heavily that game where you were sat on the grass, but clearly it couldn't have been: must have been one of the earlier games.

You wouldn't have seen much sitting down on the grass. Was packed that day.

Was at that game too, cant remember a thing about it tho.
Team for Sat,
Lewis
Murdoch. Durnan. Edge. Robson
Fyvie. Fraser
King. Keatings. Stanton
McDonald
Mehmet, Quinn, Toshney, Flood, N'Koyi, Allardice, Briels
Fraser deeper and he'll run the game from there, it's his best position.

Was at the front mate, 5 or 6 yards behind the goal line. Widnae be allowed these days & probably classed as a banning order for breaching spectator/pitch barrier. Nae bother back then.
Same time period it was OK to jump the Shed wall and get players to sign yer programme afore a match during the warm up.

Was at Stracthro the day gettin an X-Ray on my skull. The Radiographer noticed the United badge on my raincoat. She says to me "You're an Arab are ye?". I said "Aye". She said "Well yer here to get yer head examined". FAF actually. She was a Brechin supporter. And she actually admitted that they had'na beat us since 1959. Anybody?

1959 in a league match is right enough mate if that's what she means and it was their 3rd in a row. 1960 in the league cup was their last win in a recognised competition.

Cheers lads. Nothing sinister to report as yet. Thats part of the problem - they canna find anything. If they could find oot what it is, even if it was serious, at least I'd ken, and they'd be able to dae somethin. Been no weel fir 4 month. It's very wearing.

Know how u feel, my Mrs had been ill for 8 months with various scans, specialists, consultants all getting nowhere, sent her to see my physio and he had the problem Sussed in 10 minutes and has pretty much got it fixed in 3 visits.
The not knowing what it is is awful. Good luck.

Been in the same boat myself in the past Bill and can totally empathise.
Very difficult to not be feeling yourself and having to struggle by without getting any answers.
Hope they get to the bottom of it before too long mate.
