Re: Dundee united vs queen of the south, Saturday

Lewis made some fantastic stops late on. Dont want to speak too soon but what a bit of business he looks to be.

Pass marks for plenty today I felt considering down to 10.

Stanton top of the list for outfield players. He was everywhere.

Fyvie excellent considering how short of match fitness he is right now. He keeps us ticking over and helps dictate our game very well.

King never stopped running.

McDonald poachers goal and played a massive part in Fraser's winner. Fraser btw did some good defensive work and took his goal well although he lost his man near the end which led to a great lewis save. Noticed he didnt applaud fans at the end? We pay your wages mate, have a look at yourself.

Robson seems to have stepped up a level. Hoping this continues.

Durnan and Edge, not their best game. Edge especially very dodgy. Scobbie a better option in there for me once fit.

Murdo, great to have him back. Looks like Cafu compared to Toshney

Re: Dundee united vs queen of the south, Saturday

Thought we were frustrating to watch at times. Our goals and best chances came when we played to our strengths(playing the ball on the deck and out wide)

The periods of us doing long balls up the park were totally ineffective as there centre halfs absolutley dwarfed McDonald and Keatings and won everything putting us right back under pressure. Thought we were a bit like last season at times just knocking the ball around the middle of the park before going back to the keeper.

Happy to say I was wrong about Lewis, looks a very good piece of business.

Disappointed with McMullen but didn't know what he had done to get sent off at the time from where I was sitting in the ET I suspect others were the same hence the clapping him off.

Knew this was gonna be a tough gehm, but didna realise how much a chunt of a gehm it was gonna turn oot. Found the gehm very frustratring.

Place livened up with Robsons attempt aff the post. McMullans run doon the wing, and his ba across were superb. McDonald the opportunist waiting to clip it in.

Lack of clearance for their free-kick which led to their goal. Sh1te having to play we 10 men, efter McMullan got sent aff. Happened right in front oe my. QOS player hauls him doon, and McMullan has a dafty and tries to smack the boy in the pus. Kent the boy was gonna get a Yellow for it. No happy at phuckin Rankin for shoutin and bawlin at the Ref to get McMullan sent aff, but when I saw the Ref beckoning McMullan our to him - thought here we go. Ref and linesman made a number oe questionable decisions. Fouls, handballs, and offsides given against us (but NO against them).

Dinna think Fyvie looked very fit. When I saw Fraser getting comin on, thought it was Fyvie he was comin on for - surprised to see it was Keatings. MacDonald looked knackered by the hour-mark. You could see he wasna harrowing the QOS defenders at'a, kinda sitting aff them and more midfield than foward.

Fraser made an instant impact on the gehm. Was only on for 3 or 4 mins when he scored. He went inta the box - think it was McDonald that supplied him the ba, and he put it inta the left of the goal. When he scored, still had 20 mins to go. Thought, we're no gonna be able to defend this, but defend it we did.

How the phuck could Floody miss that ane. Best chance oe the gehm for another ane. Dinna ken if he scuffed or what as he fell on his erse.

Harry Lewis saved our bacon a few times the day - MOTM for me. Stanton a very close 2nd.

Hard fecht but well deserved 3 points. We're top now. Hope we bide there.

( Oh Eh and see the Champions fae up the road are sitting rock-phuckin-bottom ).

Are you trying to impress Nicola Sturgeon typing like that?

Seriously?

Who gives a fuck if the players clap the fans.  Could all walk off giving us the finger as long as they win games as far as I care

Re: Dundee united vs queen of the south, Saturday

McMullan was daft, but the referee could have blown and stopped the incident before waiting for an outcome. That's the Denny in the lad coming out!

Could have lost that, the keeper did very well and looks a strong prospect. For Soton, unfortunately.

The defence needs a shake up, for me. And, as most of us know, we need a target man as an out-ball. Late in the game we were booting it away to nobody.

Re: Dundee united vs queen of the south, Saturday

Never thought I'd hae anythin bad to say aboot Rankin, but gets a prize for being a 42-faced chunt. Badgering the Ref like phuck to get McMullan sent aff, then commiserating we him as he walks aff the park.

Gled I never had a Union Rep like him.

Nice guy though, always gave 200%. Cried when we got relegated etc. Etc.

Re: Dundee united vs queen of the south, Saturday

Thought we dug in and worked our socks off in a tough match, being down to 10 didn't help. Lewis made some excellent stops to keep us in the game. Thought Fyvie came on to a really good game second half despite not being fit, Mcdonald put in a shift too. Keatings was poor for me and Edge needs dropped! Thought Robson did ok aswell. Happy with 3 points.

Re: Dundee united vs queen of the south, Saturday

Will hold my hands up.

I was sceptical about going with such a young No.1.

But early impressions of Harry Lewis are very good.

Looks a fine young Keeper indeed.

Well said. Credit where it's due. Plenty EPL youths are over rated so fk all wrong wi being sceptical. Delighted wi his start and hope he cuts a break when he has a blip.

If he launches of our platform it might bring us some more unobtainable players short term to help.
