I seen him at the end of todays game and he was limping heavily. Looked like he was trying to avoid bending his leg. I also saw Keatings about 10 mins before (with Bell and Durnan). Keatings actually was moving slowly but not too bad.

Hopefully just a dead leg or something, apparently injured in training on Saturday.

FFS.
We must sign a Striker this week.

I think we need 2 as well.
But at least one this week is imperative.
My worry is McKinnon might try and palm Smith off as a Striker.
We need a No.9.

We def need 2, I'd accept if it was only possible to bring 1 in this week tho, as long as 2 come in before window closes.

Watching the new players has been a form of Tangerine therapy but if we don't sign 2 decent strikers I think the promotion push and season could unravel.
We've mair injuries, suspensions and bad luck to suffer.
We all know we need to spend precious money on mair quality players if we want to have a solid chance over scraping by and up a division.

Honestly think with 2 strikers. Coming in then we are in for a great season. Ive only seen the 2 games but we've got speed. Skill, goals all over the field and some class. Early doors and I still have keeper concerns but rays signings seen to be an upgrade on the relegation dross he was left with

N'Koyi done his thigh in training on Saturday...
That's a pity, was looking forward to getting a good look at him yesterday.
But good for Matty Smith getting 90 mins (and a goal) and Logan Chalmers (just turned 17) made a 15 minute debut too.
7 of the 14 who played yesterday are 20 or younger. Then unused subbies Archie Thomas is 18 & Brad Smith 20.

Fair few out the now as well...
Flood and Murdoch no kicked a ball yet due to sustaining injuries while signing contracts it seems
Bell seems like he's no gonna be part of the plans
Keatings, Durnan & N'Koyi recent injuries

Heard we were offered Jonathan Benteke, worth a trial perhaps? How much would it be to buy the lad from Dundalk? Surely worth a punt?
Online!
Not looking good for next week, Raymond in the tully talking up Matty Smith for a start in the derby so doesn't look like anyone else lined up to come in

If the boy from Dundalk's contract is coming up for expiry, why don't we just get him on a pre contract and get it done? Given it's clear we're no up for paying the £50k or whatever it is.
There must be something that's deterring it.
All the negotiations that must go on must be mind-boggling.
We don't know the half of it.
If Ray could speak....

Maybe the boy from Dundalk is worth a punt and nothing else.
After spending a fee on what he thought would be a sure thing with toshney, maybe ray doesn't fancy paying for another player.
I'm not that keen on spending money either. We are aware of our budget (zero) and we've hired someone to identify players. One of the requirements should be that no fees are involved. He's not really worth his salary if he can't pinpoint players in the current market like that.

The lad from Dundalk can score goals a plenty, scored aginst Rosenberg as well I will add who are much better than the teams we play in the championship. Think of it this way, we buy him for £50k and he scores 15-20 goals this season as does Keatings. That wins us the league, that 50k turns into SPL football, more money, bigger budgets etc.
We have to hit the ground running this season, no catch up, think we have the overall quality to win the league but with Keatings out for at least 6-8 weeks and N'Koyi a hit and miss, we need proven goalscorers. How many times do McMullan and King hit the by line and have nothing to hit in the box? More than often.

Think of it this way. He doesn't score anything like the 15-20 goals like you say because it was the players around him setting them up on a plate and it should be them we should be signing. Just saying.

Correct - if the club see fit to spend on a director of football, he should be sourcing players that can hit the ground running and not cost anything other than championship wages.
Should be easy enough for a fully qualified man who beat of multiple candidates and passed our stringent interview process.......

Or he struggles to settle or the style of football played suited him or the team was set up to play to his style etc. Etc., no guarantees in football and I'm hoping ray is seriously weighing up if we need to be spending money on a player still
