No new investors

Had hopes that there was somebody waiting in the wings to invest but guess there's not.. ..or they aren't interested in getting us out of our current position.

A ybody any positive news on this front?

Re: No new investors

Thompson's idea of an investor is someone who will give him a tap.

Smert businessman.

No-one is going to pay 4 million pounds for a club running at a loss and playing in the 2nd tier of Scottish football.

Sadly.

is that actually what thompson wants though? Or is this a figure somebody heard, a couple of years ago, when we were in a higher league and had a lot more assets?

we need investment and new eyes on the problem but it would appear nobody is even trying to get a deal (unless theres somebody who has approached ST and thats where the 4m came from).

Re: No new investors

I believe there is someone in the wings and ST turned down a potential offer 3 years ago from an investor down south. However if you were a businessman (or woman) would you pay over £2 million for a club in the 2nd tier of Scottish football that is operating at a loss?

I reckon and hope, with promotion (a must), the DUSF, FED, Arabtrust and DUBC working together to create extra funding for the club, charities, youth development, higher season ticket sales, premier league budget that we can either break even or make a small profit at least. That would make the club a more attractive prospect.

Re: No new investors

I would certainly  be pushing for one if you value/Love the club.  If you had the cash and thought further damage was going to be d9ne, you'd want to do something.

Any info on whoever waiting in the wings? Do they have the funds to turn the club around... .. local businessman/woman?
