Francois Kompany is apparently playing tonight.
If anyone is going a low down would be good.

Nae eye witness reports so far on Kompany & performance bud. We lost 2-3 and fae Utd & Jambo reports naeb'dy was to blame for any of the goals as far as these 2 reports go.
Allardice 30 yarder and a ferocious volley from 15 yards into the bottom right-hand corner by Matty Smith obvious highlights whilst hinting the pair 'might' have benefited from the Bru Cup experience.
Sounds like it was a good match with some crackin goals...

We were pretty unlucky, were definitely the better team but somehow managed to lose in the end. Goalless first half then twice we took the lead in the 2nd half, both excellent strikes. Kompany was comfortable enough without standing out & I wouldn't say our defence was found wanting at any of their three goals. We did have some impressive passages of play & more pleasing was how combative we were winning all the 50/50 challenges. Matty Smith playing behind Piggott was as good as anyone & struck his volley brilliantly. A good game filled with effort but how did we lose?!

Cheers smedDUm. You say he was comfortable enough without standing out ,did he look fit? Can you add further bud?
I was looking out for him being impressive but he was no better than ok to be honest, nothing bad, nothing exceptional. Played on the left, I'm honestly not sure who was our young right-sided central defender but FK was having to keep an eye on him I guess. He was actually reminiscent of Edje but 2" less genetically I'd give him another game if there is one coming up.

What i seen of first half he was in centre d one cross went right over his head which i thought he should have got it led to nothing from them apart from that he was ok what i saw. Missed all 5 goals as i left at half time.
I thought archie thomas looked a bit lost a good few times in the first half
I recall the missed cross bowers, about half way thro first half. I was thinking of leaving at half time too, don't know why, it's something I never do, maybe cos I was Billy Naemates, but glad I didn't. Kompany didn't make an obvious gaff in the 2nd half and I recall a well-timed sliding tackle when I thought he was going to take the boy out on the edge of the box. Depending on what he costs he might be worth a punt for the rest of the season to cover WE, MD & PQ. But one wonders why he's floating around the UK looking for a low-waged gig. Could do with being a bit taller too, he's not short but he's no giant.

very few if any of the youngsters on show tonight will ever be good enough for the 1st team and given how poor the 1st team is that is a damming statement.
According to the fishal
- Quinn got 90 mins
- No Kompany
- Taylor limped off on 30 mins
- Their keeper kept us out twice

tbf Beharder their previous two performances (Linfield/Hearts U20s) showed half a dozen with 1st team potential

from the starting 11 only Quinn Smith and Chalmers will get any near the 1st team IMO. Im not going to name players but some of the others are worringly bad just jersey fillers.

Taylor & Allardice are an obvious two with 1st team potential.

Not for me Smed Taylor too small and weak
Allardice too slow they both have attributes but their flaws mean they will not make it.
Allardice= Greg Cameron
Taylor= Walker winger from the early 90s
IMO

The Development team might well be poor at the moment but there is no way in a million years Bowman is the man to sort our Youths out and reinstate us to somewhere resembling our former glory.
Can hardly string a coherent sentence together in interviews.
He hasn't in his time improved even ONE player in that Dev squad imo.
As shite as we've been over the past 34 months (and by God we've been pish) not one Dev player has knocked on the door of the first team on a consistent basis.
is he on a (never ending) contract?

Kinda passed me by but we got knocked out the Scottish Youth Cup on Sunday by St.Johnstone (lost 2-1).
Louis Appere scored a consolation.
