Re: Fraser Fyvie

Fair assesment of Fyvie in the Scotsman if yer interested. To quote a positive...

Nobody played more passes per 90 minutes than Fyvie in the second tier last season. The results are skewed because he was on the league’s most dominant team, who had seven of their players in the top 12, but Fyvie’s numbers were still impressive. Not only did he better six of his team-mates, including the much-lauded John McGinn, he led second-placed Dylan McGeouch by over five passes per game. They weren’t many wayward ones either, as a 83.76 passing completion percentage (seventh in the league) would testify too. And he wasn’t one of those sideways, take-no-chances midfielders either, ranking third in both the most through balls and passes to the final third per 90 minutes. The phrase “per 90” comes up a lot because he did have his injury issues, but when he did play he was highly productive. He gives attackers the platform to shine.

If yer looking for a balance including the negatives...

Re: Fraser Fyvie

As long as Ray can manage him should be a great signing.

That's a full midfield in front of Fraser now.......Ray maybe expecting to be able to sell him before month end.

I usually disregard the no of passes and accuracy stats as it is easy to get good figures with the good nowhere sideways stuff (Mertesacker was the best passer in England once) but if are decent stats to show he was "prolific" in the through balls/final third, this would be encouraging. Hopefully being 3rd is good but that depends on whether 1st and 2nd were decent and not just the best of a bad bunch. Not meaning to sound too negative but the last 3/4 years have scarred me

Bring back the (real) "United Way" not the kiddy-on Martin version

Re: Fraser Fyvie

These 2 goals on Saturday were his 5th & 6th career league goals. Read a report through the week with him saying he's never felt better so surely that's oot O' date.

Hope he can keep up the good form. Not expecting goals galore fae him but hoping fitness and gelling with the team is enhanced by the confidence and buzz fae the last game.

Re: Fraser Fyvie

He's looked really good the last two games.  Boy is obviously a good player, looked really un-fit at the beginning of the season but coming onto a game now.
