FFS Thompson!

Re: Fraser Fyvie

I reckon he's using us to get a better deal elsewhere.  He fucked Hibs about and is doing the same with us.  If he does sign, given the way things have panned out so far and the way it looks like he is messing us about, he will have a fair bit to do to win the fans over.

Oooooohhhh yeeeeeaaaaaah!!

Bang on! Reading rays comments in the courier today, he says he is still " hope full" that Fyvie will agree terms. So definitely sounds like he is holding out for a better offer!

Re: Fraser Fyvie

If it's true that Fyvie is another backwards and sideways merchant, I don't want him, I hope he goes elsewhere and possibly to one of our opponents so they can struggle.

Ha - a better version of Telfer is still a Telfer. No thank you. I'd prefer to see a a better version of K**** (not allowed to say Wato's other name) - a version with his go-forwards style but with less of the temperamental stuff. Still wish we'd kept him for one more game so we could be playing PL fitba this season

Re: Fraser Fyvie

Fyvie's quoted in today's Scotsman as playing more passes per 90 minutes than any other Championship player last season. The article also states They weren’t many wayward ones either, as a 83.76 passing completion percentage (seventh in the league) would testify too. And he wasn’t one of those sideways, take-no-chances midfielders either, ranking third in both the most through balls and passes to the final third per 90 minutes.

Maybe I've misjudged him.

Fyvie only scored 3 goals last season (2 in the Championship and 1 in the Irn Bru Cup).

He definitely ISN'T the creative player some folk think we might be getting.

I don't really rate him tbqh. He's always flattered to decieve for me.

If it happens so be it.He gets backed like everyone else and i hope to be pleasantly surprised.

I can't say i will be shedding any tears if the move falls through though (and i get the distinct feeling it may have judging by the delay in any announcement).

If you read the Scotsman article about FF this morning TEK you will be shedding tears if the move falls thro.

Re: Fraser Fyvie

I rate the lad and think he would be brilliant signing! However, if he is playing us like he apparently did with Hibernian then he can do one.

I don't.

Particulary.

Thousands of free agents out there in European football. Many of them as good (if not better) as Fraser Fyvie.

I thought we appointed a 'Head of Recruitment' to ensure we were scouring the net and getting the absolute best value for money?

Seems to me like we are just looking at a list of oyt of contract players in Scottish football and trying to cherry pick some of the one's within our budget.

I,you or anyone on this Forum could do that.

Again. If FF signs so be it.I (obviously) hope he does us a turn. But i am not losing any sleepless nights over whether or not he comes to Tannadice personally.

Great post. Kind of starting to wonder what the point of all these scouting trips to England were since they din't appear to have yeilded anybody. I also can't understand why we are not looking at the Irish League as well.

Too much commotion

Nah Tek if Fyvie signs he'll be a dynamo for us.
It's got to happen.

Possibly Pat but oor local papers don't usually print on the back of pish like that. Ken their not liked or respected but their predictions are further of on this one than usual.

Watched RMcK's Azone press session and nae mair clues on this. Disapointed on clarity but like that we are doing our buisness quietly without hyping up every prospect.
Frustrating though.
He said we'd like to bring in 4 new players, happy if we get 3 of the 4 then later when quized on positions to strengthen says 2 strikers, one possibly two midfielder and a Goalkeeper so 5.
Obviously being realistic and thinking what you want & get are different and what you promise should be carefully done.

Looking for creative players that can break down defencive tactics better than last year and beat players one on one & two on one to open up the opposition better. That's why i hope we get Fyvie and similar.

What maks u think he's a creative player? Anytime I've seen um (Aberdeen semi) or anytime he played us last season He ALWAYS went backwards or sideways and going beh what hibs fans are saying aboot him ehm right. Ehm no saying he'll no be a good signing fir us just that he'll no be the 'creator' your thinking. A better version oh Telfer IMO

I was just quoting what RMcK said on the zone interview but was pished and didnae use the quoty " " at ...

"Looking for creative players that can break down defencive tactics better than last year and beat players one on one & two on one to open up the opposition better".

Personally don't have a strong opinion on him as i've not seen much of him but i'm hopeful he'd be better than what we have at feeding the wings and forwards.

Still hope we get him.

It is starting to look like he or his agent is playing us like a hey diddle diddle. Need to get this done early next week or move on imo.

Re: Fraser Fyvie

We need boys in who r totally committed to playing for the club. If Fyvie or any other are taking to long then move on. Fuck them.

Re: Fraser Fyvie

Eh might be being daft but eh still think he'll sign.

I've actually only seen on twitter that Blackpool , Plymouth etc are interested and that's only fae other supporters, no any journalists or paper talk.

His agents at it.

Re: Fraser Fyvie

Taking his time to make the decision it would seem. Fine by me. Just hope this week we see him sign. Ray said he was looking at 1 or maybe 2 centre mids so obviously has another on the radar. Delighted if Fyvie joins but not the end of the world if we can get another one in.
