Scott Allan

Would you take him from Celtic on a season's long loan?

We are crying out for creativity in midfield and there is no doubt he has talent.

Re: Scott Allan

No, I rate him but he's a number 10 and so signing him means another season of 4-2-3-1. Pussy sick of it. I want 2 wingers, 2 strikers and 2 central midfielders who can do a bit of everything like Gomis and Buaben could.

Re: Scott Allan

I'd play Scott Fraser in that no10 position before Scott Allan if we're going 4231. My preference would be proper wingers in a 442 tho.  So No, I wouldn't take him, surprised it took so long for his name to come up right enough.

Re: Scott Allan

Talented player who has allowed his career to nose-dive chasing the pound over playing time with every move. Not for me.

Re: Scott Allan

Scott Allan epitomises all that is wrong with many modern footballers.Disregard for their profession, responsibilities and the folk who pay the wages.

Re: Scott Allan

Ability wise it would be a yes but surely we have better options than trawling up this wee fud every transfer window.

Quoted in papers today, “The last time I had a tangerine jersey on, I was getting booed by my own fans,” Allan said. “It was against Hibs and I’ll not forget that one. So there are no problems there. I know I’ll bump into Dundee United fans and I can’t wait!"

Re: Scott Allan

Fuck him.  He's 25 and been at about 10 clubs already.  He'll no doubt flatter to deceive at Dens, go back to Celtic at the end of the season and be loaned out again somewhere.

Re: Scott Allan

I genuinely think he's a good player but after his comments there he can get fucked.

He doesn't mention there that he nearly signed for Utd under 2 years ago but the deal broke down due to (yip you guessed it)....money.

Re: Scott Allan

He's not the brightest guy, poorly advised in terms of his career by his agent.

Certainly had potential, but he's only ever shone for a season at Hibs, and it's a gamble for any club who want to throw money at him.

Re: Scott Allan

The fact he is now at Dundee is testament to how far he has fallen imo. That's not through ability either, all about attidude- the wrong kind.

A luxury player.

Ability wise- what we are lacking

Attidude wise- exactly what we need to avoid.

All in my personal opinion of course

Re: Scott Allan

He f**cked his career big time, thought he was bigger than what he is, thought he is bigger than the club, listened to his agent rather than Houston who would have coached him into a better player. Some dees seem happy, hope their happy to sign a stroppy, greetin faced bairn
