Re: Stevie Campbell Q+A - Thursday 9th October 7-8pm

Great coup TEK!
A few questions then...

1. Why has Charlie Telfer never been given a start despite indifferent/poor form of Rankin, Paton and Armstrong?

2. Where is Darren Petrie and has his chance come and gone? He was talked about in similar terms as Gauld and Souttar a few years ago.

3. Are we carrying too many under 20s for a club of our size and resources? Is there a danger that some of these young lads miss out on a competitive edge by playing development league games or friendlies? Would some of them not benefit from going out on loan?

4. Similarly, does a club of our size really need 5 goalkeepers aged 18 or over?? Why wern't one or two put out on loan as Jackie said he would (when quizzed on Marc McCallum's prospects after Stromszik was signed)?

Well done Tek and good on Steve, have to keep one eye on the viewing figures, hopefully a good turnout with the word spreading. Onwards and upwards TT. Who's up next for a Q&A? Erik Pederson, Jackie Mac, Lorraine Kelly or Katie Perry

Re: Stevie Campbell Q+A - Thursday 9th October 7-8pm

Ok Lads/Lasses,

The Q+A with Stevie will be starting at 7pm and will run for roughly 1 hour.

ONE question at a time please everyone.

This is a chance to ask one of the top guys at the club anything Utd/fitba related so use it wisely chaps. The Paul Sturrock Q+A on Utd Mad got derailed a bit with posters asking him to 'prove it's him',none of that chat tonight please.

Anyone signing up tonight just to cause disruption would only be wasting their own time.I will be refreshing the page every 30 seconds,so any nonsense posts wouldn't see the light of day and will be deleted immediately.

All that said i am positive there will be none of those problems to deal with.

Re: Stevie Campbell Q+A - Thursday 9th October 7-8pm

Ok i see Stevie is now on-line so i will start us off with the first question and Stevie can just start answering the questions when he likes.

Bit of a cliched question but i always ask this question to any ex-pro i'm lucky enough to meet.

1.Stevie,who was the best player you ever had the pleasure of playing with or against ?

Stevie, do you think its detrimental to kids development to be removed from schools and Sunday league football when they are signed with a professional club?

With has to be Tommy Coyne, altho' Billy Dodds came close.
Against, Robert Prosenecki for Yugoslavia under 21's. He was awesome.

A question I'm asked often. But always wary to answer as I feel it puts too much pressure on young lads. Right now, Ali Coote and Harry Souttar are potential stars. Won't see them too soon but look out for them.

Difficult one. Pro's and cons either way. Numerous examples for and against, we are governed as a club by the SFA criteria on this so are forced to do these things rather than it be left to the clubs decision.

Stevie, do you remember coaching Fairmuir Under 9's with Steven Frail many, many moons ago? I was one of the bairns back then and really enjoyed it.

Re: Stevie Campbell Q+A - Thursday 9th October 7-8pm

Ryan Gauld could make his scotland debut tomorrow aged just 18 years old.

Will it be your proudest moment as a Utd coach to see him wear the dark blue of Scotland ?
