Heard we're interested in him.
Released by Doncaster Rovers.
Had an injury thats kept him out last 9 months.Back fit again.
Left back.
Remember him at Partick, was always impressed.
Online!
I remember him too.
Good player.

I'd be happy with that, good defensively and has a good delivery, sign him and having Jamie Robson there could only spell the end for Dixon's time at tanny.

Yep good wee player this boy. Get him signed up if he's fit...

Good LB. had a lot of clubs looking at him when at Thistle.
Devlin, Taylor-Sinclair, Robson and Ballantyne and we'd be ok in FB positions.

It's an article saying United have him on their radar and that a trial will probably be offered to him during pre-season.

Cheers mate.

Given he's been injured for so long, a trial is sensible for a club in our position, but if he is suitable, we'll have to move fast, as other clubs will have an interest.
I'd be happy with this signing if the lad shows the same form he did while at Thistle. He must have had sell on potential, it was McNamara who signed him there!

Remember him fae his Patrick days and thought he was very good then, hopefully his injuries huvnt held him back and he can be a success here.
Under NO circumstances can we go into this season wi Jamie Robson as oor first choice left back!!

Regarding recruitment, so not simply on ATS, I read Raymond yesterday about his appointment of Darren Taylor. The quote, which may not be accurate, is
"Ray McKinnon reckons one of the best “signings” he made in his first year in charge at Dundee United was when he appointed Darren Taylor as head of football operations."
Now, I thought Darren was appointed by the board, and was in a long term position, ie, if and when Ray leaves, Darren is independent of that coaching group. Have I misunderstood the role?

I would like the club (General Manager Football/Director of Football or whatever) to be appointing staff like the Player Recruitment guy, Trainer, Youth Coach, Academy as "club appointments" irrespective who of the 1st team head coach/manager and his assistant is. Its a nonsense that we have to recruit and pay off whole teams when the 1st team coach/manager joins leaves or is sacked. For one thing we cant afford this and secondly it doesn't provide any degree of stability. We don't make wholesale changes on the non-football side when someone leaves or joins so why adopt such a stupid and amateur practice on the football side. I would hope that the club come out and correct Ray's statement.
