for shit kick off venue ect the 2014 SC semi final takes some beating however there was a larger than normal turnout 13k. The 2005 SC semi final about 5k united fans. The difference is down to the belief that we would win. If saturdays match was held in nov/dec i reckon we would have 5_6 k there regardless off kick off time venue ect. Thats why i used the term snowflake fans.

I will be there. The worse we get the more I feel the need to be there. Its easy to go when we are on a winning run, now's the time the team needs support.
Agreed, will be there I'm not too up my own arse to not support MY team in a cup final.
We are where we are for a multitude off reasons, but that doesn't detract from the fact united are in a final, I have been one of the lucky ones who have witnessed all uniteds triumphs and failures so yes I'm going, and if united win I will be celebrating 'cause for me that's what supporters do, I've read lots of posts about minter final this and fizzy pop that, but if some people believe they are too cool to support their team in ANY match never mind a final "then the ba's on the slateys"
The thing is, 'the ba' is on the slateys' already- not because of any supporters who may or may not go, but because of the structure of this competition.
I'm going, with no enthusiasm, to support the bus that's been organised, rather than the tournament.
Couldn't agree more with you Pat, the cunts running Scottish futba are an absolute disgrace and as we know channel everything towards the betterment of the ugly sisters, this cup going forward is another perfect example.
The only problem I have is my team are playing in a cup final on Saturday and there could be a lot a kids going to their first cup final not the greatest of cups but we are where we are, remember if we were playing the ugly sisters they may not have been going for obvious reasons.
I think if you don't want to go because of the shenanigans concerning the way the cup is being run that's fair enough but being honest at the moment we are not to good to be in this final and neither are our supporters imho,if people don't want to go just don't go and good luck to them but they don't have to keep running it down if the are not going, as it obviously doesn't matter to them
They should think of the kids, can they remember how excited they were going to their first final?

Is it not ironic that you feel it's ok to 'belittle' fans, but belittling the tournament is seen by you to be disrespectful?
As I've written some months ago, the SPFL, in allowing under 20 and Welsh/Irish teams into the tournament, have brought ridicule onto Scottish football, as many people can see right through their motives.
Only two clubs are considered when changes are made to the game in Scotland: think the introduction of the pyramid system, the setting up of play-offs between leagues, the changes to the League Cup, allowing clubs to cancel fixtures to play friendlies, and these Challenge Cup innovations. Oh, and the secret 'five way agreement' which our club must happy to protect.
Yet these two clubs, much vaunted by the authorities in Scotland, continue to offer the English league a glimpse of their fannies attempting to leave our system.

At no stage do I attempt to compare the games in level of scenario or importance.
The fact remains that if the game was held in Nov/Dec we would has sold twice as many tickets. The integrity of the tournament is being used as a smokescreen (by Some) for I'm no going cause we will probably lose
The 2014 semi was at ibrox if I recall.

Spot on Pat. Football is run for the benefit of the ugly sisters, their media pals & the Blazers and not for Scottish Football. Accordingly we've been on a nosedive for some time. The bankruptcy of Rangers could have provided an opportunity for a fresh start however we've just got more of the same this time with bells on.

Nobody is going to disagree with that annan. Pat all your examples are spot on. Shoudn't we then as supporters boycott the whole lot not just some of it?
