I bet there's people out there willing to buy the club but at the cheapest possible price. Remember it's not just buying Thompson and mitchell out, you are also saddled with the debt. No one is gonna pay 4 million to they two schiesters and still have the debt to service as well.
Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't any possible buyer also have to offer shareholders the same price per share as Thompson and mitchell too?? Which makes it even more expensive to buy hence why any potential buyer will be waiting till the club hits it's lowest point: ie administration.
Scary shit

Always give players the benefit of the doubt until they've kicked a ball for us (and always will).
But the Barnet fans on Twitter to a man seem to think he's crap.
Doesn't bode too well.

I'd agree with most of that, folk want anything they buy as cheaply as possible. It's a terrible situation, but I don't know of any potential buyer, and for such a buyer to want to wait until administration potentially occurs, then I'm not too sure I'd be happy with the motivation of that new majority shareholder.
Unless you know of a specific person who is waiting for that event......

I wish I did. Unfortunately I can't see anyone paying top dollar. Thing is it might not need us to be in administration. It could be just before that as a new owner wouldn't want to deal with the new rules re admin and Thompson would rather some money than fuck all.
Just shows you how really skint we are though.

Thompson will get it a little bit softer cause ciftci never went to Motherwell, holy shit could you imagine if he did move there

Out - JJ, Smith and Obadeyi
In - Mikkelson & Nicholls
On the face of it doesn't seem like a great strengthening of the side (understatement perhaps) as we push for promotion although time will tell. The one thing we need now is for Ray to step up his game. The resources he has, if used to their potential, should be more than a match for the Mortons, Falkirks, Raiths, etc of this league and get us to the final play off and to compete strongly against whatever team finishes 2nd bottom. Ray needs to make sure we actually do some attacking in every game not just wander aimlessly around the midfield as we have been doing. I remember Jackie saying he was sticking to his principles and philosophies (whatever they were - dont think he knew) even when we were in serious decline. Dont make that mistake Ray - learn from your mistakes and put them right.

I think Rays just as stubborn as Mixu and JMAC sadly. He sets us up not to get beat thats for sure, far too defensive, 2 holding mids at home is pish as is 1 striker at home against the likes of Ayr.

Would've been good to see us go with two out and out wide players.

B&T - no offer would need to be made beyond ST - you're think of the rules for a PLC
Underwhelming to say the least. When I saw who it was, I hoped he'd be a youngster on the way up. A 29 year old journeyman from the English lower leagues is not what I expected. (I'd have been happy if the signings stopped and started with Cifcti)
Anyway, if he swings in a couple of crosses for big Phil to bullet home on Saturday, we'll all be happy, right?

Thompson wants 2m.
But my understanding is irrespective of the amount of shares him and justine hold they are to get exactly the same amount of money which i am led to believe they are wanting 2m EACH for the club...major debt.....no assets.....no youth set up ffs 20 lambert and butler has more value than us at the moment breaks my heart to see OUR club in such a decline and for the foreseeable future i can't see any way out of this decline

Hearing from someone at club that jj got 100 grand pay off yesterday.

That makes no sense though. According to the papers in York, his loan deal didn't allow for early termination (if it did, they'd surely have sent him back on January 1st since they had made public they'd not play him again) so why would United take him back only to have to pay through the nose to release him immediately.
Obviously none of us are privy to these contractual details, but you'd imagine something was worked out between all three parties to settle up for the season and let him go.

Everybodys a bit down this morning however why would we pay a boy with 18 months on his contract roughly 4 years wages to leave.

No dig at anyone here, but the amount of disinformation folk come up with nowadays is frustrating. I blame Twitter, mischief making, and folk trying to jump on the knowledge bandwagon.
There appears to be nobody prepared to pay ST's desired price, there is no way we, as a collective of fans can buy him out as I've seen suggested. Might I suggest we try a different 'united' approach, rather than present the players with a wall of hatred.
The new lad Nicholls will wonder what he's come to if we think volatile action during the 90 minutes is going to lower ST's price. I've no argument against protest, but please avoid it during the ninety minutes.
As for a different approach, sniping at each other will bring no benefits, surely fans can see this. An approach must be made to the club seeking answers to some of the Feds questions, as these are the types of aspects most/all of us want to be enlightened on.
A group composed of Fed/ArabTrust/Business Club/Ladies Club folk really needs to get together and work in a United way to open avenues of communication. Ordinary fans like me who are in none of these groups might be put out, but everyone should have access to the outcomes of such communication.
