You ever go to any football over there and if so what's the standard like?

There's no team in the town I live so basically just TV. The standard is decent but much like the national team it's tippy tappy hence the reason a few teams have a big foreign striker. Side note, the current champions Urawa Reds are cu#%s. Their fans had a big sign saying no foreigners allowed here--the area of the ground where the hardcore support are. Most foreigners hate them.

I used to use arabzone but technically it was garbage. I get big games through various streaming sites. Only EPL  or La Liga games are shown on the cable channels

Haha. I've asked myself the same question. Basically a simple hustle. They let me win a good few then upped the price. I had about 1000 dollars in my pocket as me and a mate were gonna put down money on a flat in Bondi beach the next day. Lost the lot on one frame of pool. They wouldn't let me leave till I paid up. I was later told by my brother in law it was the local hang out of the Chinese mafia.

I'll say Nakata. F#ck Nakamura. Don't like the guy. Didn't make any effort to fit in and learn the language. Whereas Nakata speaks about four fluently and is an all round great guy. Plus a brilliant player---a Japanese cantona is what I thought of him.

Re: Friday's Fan Focus #27 - Japanarab

My usual questions now....

Last gig you went to?

Last book you read / current book reading?

Have you a ticket for a future gig bought?

Do the Japanese realise/recognise a difference between Scots and english culture or character bud?

I would have to say no. I've tried to explain in---Scots get more drunk if we lose at football whereas English get angry. They consider all British English--even to the point of what they call us. I've had to point out the word for British doesn't mean English. The amount of times I've had to draw a map to point out the different home nations is unreal. Japan is pretty clueless to the outside world even now.

Re: Friday's Fan Focus #27 - Japanarab

Is it true on the bullet trains that when the Conductor comes into the coach that everyone faces him/her and bows to them?

Wonder if that will happen on the train to Kirkcaldy next week?

Last gig of note would have been the Summer Sonic festival to see The Roses among others---my mates plays in a band here so get to see a lot of little local bands but none of real note. The Okamotos are worth checking out. A Rolling Stones type of band. Really good.

Last book was Skeem Life which my folks sent over.

Would love to say I've a ticket for the roses' gig in Tokyo next year but still working on that.

I live in choocter land so no bullet trains here. But the times I've been to Tokyo I've never seen that. They do have the guys pushing people into the carriages as they're so crowded though. I couldn't live there. Far too crowded and stressful for my liking. You spend half your time going from train to train. I walk or cycle most places where I live.

#1 Probably the Partick play off. Ended up on the pitch at the end and on tv. Phoned in sick for work that day. Well nabbed. What a game and feeling---imagine that vs the fun next year!!!

#2. Probably the 4-0 game against Dundee at Dens with Clarkie scoring on his erse. Was it Billy Dodds that was sent off or Jim Duffy? I half remember every result that night going against them and plunging them into relegation trouble.

#3. Maybe the semi final against Roma. Watching the away leg at school and just being so gutted about it. Watching the final thinking that should be us v Liverpool was sickening.

Ball work first and foremost. Pass pass and more passing. Sometimes you feel like shouting "just fu#%}%# shoot!!!"
Ironically there's all that then they employ a foreign coach to the national team!!
