He's their best young player,has 18 months left on his contract and is going for back to back titles.We bid 25k.

You have to ask yourself are we being serious with bids like that?

Hibs were struggling and Lennon goes out and snaps up Commons and Humphrey's before the window is even open.Acts clinically and swiftly.

This is classic United Transfer market bingo.

We make it look like we are trying to get decent players, the papers pick up on this and get the fans excited, we make dreadfully low offers for said player, their club rejects it, we sign somebody who's shite on a free. Then repeat the process.

Wouldn't surprise me if we offer Ofere a deal now.

If we threw £100k in for this guy, you guys would be pissing your pants about wasting money on a guy from NI. The club can't win with some folk.

I wouldn't be happy with us spending that money,not at all.

I think personally we should only go for free transfers.

But if Ray wants the player (and he does) pissing about with bids of 25k is just wasting time and annoying and insulting to the other team.

How do you know £25k is derisory? It may well be but, with all due respect, you don't know the circumstances around our finances, their finances, his contract etc etc.

Seriously though we need to get players in before its too late and we are left panic signing boys nobody wants. All other teams in the league are strengthening and we are pissing about as usual.
