if he signs that will be two big strikers who wont be match fit till end of february

Should have just tried to sign Ofere in the Summer.
That or kept Anier.

Anier was on a long, highly lucrative contract (for the Championship division): we need him off the books. Ofere was 'allegedly' asking for too much cash in the summer.

His wages were probably less than we paid for Toshney (over a year).

He had 2 years left on it though.
After he went we brought in edge, VDS and Andreu with the freed up funds

RM wasn't having Anier in pre season and he was a high earner, Also he tried to sign big Eddie up earlier but his agent was asking for cash that we just don't have.
Also led to believe that Wigan enquired about Scotty Fraser just before the January window opened but more recently (last 10 days) have been another 2 believed to have been MK Dons and Charlton both rejected as Ray doesn't want to loose him.

No surprise really. Don't think we had any realistic chance of actually getting him.

Just another case of the Utd chairman showing 'ambition' so folk will say "oh but we tried to get GMS, not his fault we couldn't get him", possibly. Hopefully not but I'm becoming quite cynical about our transfer dealings.
Similar seems to happen every window, whether a low turned down bid for whoever or unrealistic loan move. All we're waiting on in Jan now is Fraser getting sold for a set of strips, half a dozen match balls and an £8 million sell-on clause, then the last minute panic signing of well anyone we can drag to Tannadice to sign.

aye, we'll end up with the french lad from stirling and eddy o'fere

McKinnon seemingly has a shortlist of players for a potential loan move?

Q 11
Ray why have you not bought a few new players yet, do you not realise that the window will soon be shutted up. Have you considered your position, are you even qualified to do the job.
Love the Fed
