Some of you are being a bit cruel here: Jim Spence is clearly a United fan, I reckon it's a wind up to say otherwise.
Can someone remind why he is paid a wage from dundee utd?
I think he's paid a wage because relationships between the board and many supporters was at an all time low from February 2015 until relegation in the summer there. Something had to change, and the board took a step to improve the problem. And, only an opinion, but communication has improved to some degree.

He did try but the battle bus feels came off rather quick

I didn't see these Twitter messages, as I don't use or like Twitter, both for the inane title of the product, 'Twitter', and the amount of times I've read about offensive 'tweets'. It doesn't seem a productive or helpful mode of providing information, but if he made comments which were offensive to United fans, with no reason or provocation, then that I'd condemn.
