Did you get the impression yer grandad disliked the dees?
Definitely but I think there was even more dislike for the Huns. Always a frosty atmosphere in the boardroom.

We as grandkids would go round to their house every night and I mean every night and badger the poor old man to give us some signing gossip. He usually didn't tell us but we knew one time he had a cracker that he didn't want to tell us. Tears and tantrums and eventually he told us we were on the verge of signing Careca from Sao Paolo (who had just starred in the 1986 World Cup). But we weren't to tell ANYONE.
Being a young lad I told all my mates the next day, it appeared on the back page o the Sun and wee Jum pulled the deal.
Never really knew if I was to blame!!
Holy shit!

I do think that you're right and Hibs will do all they can to buy the title in January and if it means buying/unsettling our players then I think that will happen.
Absolutely convinced we're going to meet Dundee in a play off.

Another one I remember was the Jerren Nixon phone call. My grandad really wasn't well and Jum called to get a "phone vote" to sanction Jerren Nixons transfer. The fee of 220K was quoted (and I think United didn't get off to a great start under Golac) and they both agreed that would be the last money he would ever spend. History tells us otherwise.

Do hear a lot of negatives about Paddy Connolly but I fucking loved him.

Have you ever done a pitch invasion? If so or not what's the craziest celebration you've had?

What's the biggest distance you've travelled to follow United?

Always stayed on the right side of the law!
Used to love being in the Shed on a big day and the more notable the goal the further you'd fall. Remember one by the aforementioned Mr Connolly when I went through around 30 steps and had to walk home with one trainer.

The story of your life is made into a movie.
What actor plays you?

Never went to Europe as my Grandad believed it was bad luck to go to away games...
Lived in Orkney a few years ago and had a 3 day round trip by ferry, car and bus to go to the shit cup final v St Johnstone.

Won't be popular but "No".
Again one of these things driven in to me my my grandad that has influenced my thinking. If I'm honest though it probably wouldn't be such a bad thing.

Totally daft answer but I remember one day I was day off with the family in Aviemore, I'd just got a new job, feeling flush with cash and we went and played in the snow with the kids and the dog and got sunburnt. Still to this day quote that as my best day ever.

Not sure he got a name as aggressive but Miodrag was a colossus. Jamie Fullarton too but wasn't with us long.

Yes! Now in the Tekel Towers First Team..

If you've met a player and had a chat, who was the most United at heart?

Nowadays I hear lots about Sean Dillon - not sure if he has the club at "heart", just a decent hard working guy.
Probably Christian Dailly.

Difficult to pinpoint a reason but it was a nickname given to my by pals at High School and it just stuck because I'm a fat bastard and everyone seemed to get amusement out of it..
