Culbokie, near Dingwall.

Absolutely privelidged that George Fox was my grandfather and as a youngster lucky enough to attend most home games in the directors box. Didn't fully appreciate it at the time but lots of amazing memories.

Think all goals meet the same response with me whether meaningful or not but even last season at Caley I remember running down with the young lad to the pitch when McKay scored even though we were pretty much down. My wee boy was trying to pull me onto the pitch and here's me thinking I was too old for all that.

As far as I'm aware he did the clubs books. He told us all of this was free of charge (as all of his activities at United were). That then resulted in going on the board and then onto chairman in the late eighties.

I never actually have. Even my mum (his daughter) was a fully paid up season ticket holder last season.

Not United but I do remember going to the house in the mid eighties and there was a big fuck off Merc outside blocking the street. Gran ushered us into a seperate room where we had to be as quiet as mice as Angus Cook was round having a meeting. As far as I was told at the time he was round to try and merge the clubs, something which my grandad wasn't interested in.

Cup final wins have been important but I think some of the big European wins when even though I was young and it was almost expected for us to win them, the Barcelona quarter final, knowing/thinking we were on the verge of something special.

Bannon. Still most weeks tell workmates and the kids about the 5th goal v Moenchengladbach.

David McCracken although Coll Donaldson comes a close second in the current day crop. Mind you a lot from last season would be pretty close.

We as grandkids would go round to their house every night and I mean every night and badger the poor old man to give us some signing gossip. He usually didn't tell us but we knew one time he had a cracker that he didn't want to tell us. Tears and tantrums and eventually he told us we were on the verge of signing Careca from Sao Paolo (who had just starred in the 1986 World Cup). But we weren't to tell ANYONE.

Being a young lad I told all my mates the next day, it appeared on the back page o the Sun and wee Jum pulled the deal.

Never really knew if I was to blame!!

Think when we won the league. I remember our "treat" as grandkids was to operate the umbrellas at the Caird Hall to shelter the players from the rain at the victory party and I remember standing on the balcony with thousands of United fans below me and getting goosebumps
