Re: ICT v Utd - Saturday 23rd July (3pm)

Goals are on arabzone now. United's goal is a good team move and nice finish. 8 penalties scored from 8 is good, plus Bell saving 3 from 7 is very good.

TEK is right the ICT goal is the kind of goal we've lost many times over the last couple of years. I am no  expert so happy to be corrected, but when they take the throw, the first united player in a position to attack the ball is willo flood, our smallest player, and it goes over his head,  could they not put someone taller in there? Doesn't excuse the player behind flood (Durnan?) who is caught flat footed.

Its Van Der Velden who is behind Flood marking the boy who flicks the ball on.

Too much commotion

Re: ICT v Utd - Saturday 23rd July (3pm)

The only positive (if you like) is that Raymondo is immediately acknowledging how bad a goal it was in his post match interview and that he had words and it did not re-occur.  But the bottom line is they had THREE players in our 6 yard box and we had SEVEN and they still scored.  Icey Tea are usually the biggest and most physical team we play when we're in the top league, so it's a warning that needs heeded.

Think we had chances to win in the 90.

Really liking the look of Toshney and Murdoch.

Defence still no looking the best and think Bell is a bit shakey.

Didnt think obadeyi was that good.

Great move for our goal.

Good to get another win.

Players seem to be alot happier.

Re: ICT v Utd - Saturday 23rd July (3pm)

Very nice passing move for our goal. Though if I was Richie Foran I'd be expecting my Goalie to do better with the shot which never had much power in it.It was more like a pass into the net.

At their goal Donaldson has to win his challenge as a CH.

LAO was right recently when he said young guys don't seem able to head the ball away anymore.

Yeah, the boy spins off Donaldson and he's really slow to react and jump.

Re: ICT v Utd - Saturday 23rd July (3pm)

On another note- the build up and slide pass by van der Velden to the touch and sprint by Si Murray, lay off by Spittal to Murdoch and a top finish looked like something of old and hopefully a style of attack we might see more of. Early days though but we have a new manager talking of this style.

Wont get carried way but more of that please.

Just an all round brilliant move, the finish was class though too. I was right behind it. Some curl on it, started miles outside the post.
