We needed a winger, so hopefully he does the business. Don't really know much about him to say whether it's a decent signing or not.

Scottish defender Zak Jules will not be coming on trial.New Reading boss Jaap Stam has decided to hang on to the 19-year-old after he impressed in pre-season training.

What happened, then? Did he miss the bus to Dundee? Or has he indeed signed? It's difficult here in darkest Yorkshire to keep up with things.....

Quite dissapointed.
Had heard good things about the lad.
The boy Zaber from Bournemouth is playing tomorrow v Blackpool at St. Andies though apparently.
We still need an experienced CH so hopefully he impresses.
We also badly need a Striker.
They are the two priority signings to my mind.

Flood seemingly signing Thursday or Friday at the latest so surely thats the midfield tied up. Only signing still up in the air is Cammy Smith but I get the feeling that'll no happen.
I read somewhere that blackpool are also considering offering Zubar, or whatever his name is, a contract, hence why he is coming back up to play against them.
A striker is an absolute priority now, I like Murray but it'd be nice to have another option. What happened to the Dane we were apparently talking to, that rumour seems to have gone cold.
Does anyone reckon they give a phluck if you show up at Saint Andrews and watch? I've trained on the same spot we train and play bounce games, can't see anyone asking you leave but then again, no wanting to make a chunt of myself.

Bit off tangent here, but last season we got Rodney from Almere city, at the same time az alkamaar signed a striker from them for 300,000, yesterday that striker sold for £18.6 million, think Jackie and co signed the wrong boy

In addition to Zubar, meanwhile, United took a look at two strikers against the Seasiders. One, from Trinidad, will be heading home but the other has been asked to stay on and train with the squad.“He’s from Holland and he showed up well, so we’ll take a longer look at him,” confirmed Ray.

Just wiki'd him.
His goalscoring stats ain't too impressive. Seems a bit of a journeyman tbh. Also pretty old.
That said I hope to be pleasantly surprised as always.
Is this the guy who played against Blackpool then?

Another attacking midfielder, not exactly what we need IMO bit probably the "classy player" that Ray hoped to sign up this weekend.

Tbh always played a much much higher level than the championship and presume he'll probably play as a striker for us

Agreed. Anyone whos played consistently for decent sides in the Eridivisie should stand out in Scottish fitba. Unless he's some injury problems we're unaware of he should be a star in the Championship.

Bodul had played for good sides in the Eridivisie.
I'll reserve judgement until I see the guy play.

I'll be willing to give him a chance I'm sure Dunfermline are no gonna fill the man with fear!

I hope it's a striker.
If true it looks like we really mean business this season.
