    Johnny Coyle

    Another member of the '100 Goals Club' has sadly passed i'm sad to say

    Johnny Coyle,the maverick striker and DUFC Hero of the 1950's (and scorer of 112 goals) has reportedly passed away aged 83.

    A shame that the club won't be able to pay their respects by way of a mintes silence.

    Sad news.

    Before my time but one of those players you always heard about.

    Never knew he scored the winner in a Scottish Cup final after he left us. Also was in Scotland's 1958 World Cup squad.

    Before my time. As Trap says he went to Clyde, where he scored the winner in the Scottish Cup against Hibs I think.

    Season 55/56

    Coyle scored 43 goals for Utd (albeit in the old 1st Division).
