And that's us sharing top place in the league. Look forward to CL when we start playing.

two ways of looking at it bugsy...we can play better so could go far this season....i'm no so sure though...
Bilate is gonna have to offer a lot more...very poor
Erskine's confidence still looks shot to me...never looking for it...looks like he takes the easy option oot not to get involved enough
in the heat oh a derby battle players like them will get swallowed up

Ciftci is a daft cunt. It looked like he put his hand on the ref as well.
Bilate was pish, too early to put boot in but can't say I've been overly impressed apart from thon wonder strike. Erskine drifts in and out games. Had some decent touches but sometimes he looks like a lost laddie. Not convinced by Morris either. I know some boys think Souttar should be playing holding midfield but I'd like to see him and Fojut at centre half when Souttar is fit. At least he can bring the ball out of defence unlike the punts we got today.
Ciftci will miss both derbies now wont he as he was sent off in Inverness game last season

If he has he'll get a long bang. They'll be choking to get him

Strange, eh thought Squiddy was one of our better attacking players, before the bizarre shift up front.
Morris was seriously hobbling for most of the second half, doesn't excuse fresh air swipe but may show Jackie's regard for Butcher?

I am severely pissed aff tonight so probably best not to post to much about Utd tonight.
I will say one thing though.Despite being joint top i cannae shake aff the feeling that things are far fae right at the club (on the playing side). The same problems that were prevelant all last season are still there, and we don't look as fluid or potent attacking other teams as we were.

Fuck me.
And it seemed like such a thrilling match going by the BBC website text commentary an aw! Noticed that the crowds are still holding out in there swollen state an aw. Last year, that crowd would have been between 5500 - 6000, but again, over 7000 turned out to watch what was apparently another poor showing.
(am on a boat in middle of North Sea....won't get to a game until late October).

That was feking dire.
I'll say no more other than massive improvement required from all. Disappointing.
Hamilton are a handful of a team though, they will be staying up.

Shite day all round.

Turns out Bilate had been laid low with food poisoning and was only going to play 60 mins, so the shift wasn't bizarre.

We struggled big time yesterday as said earlier all over the park. Morris poor, Rado should've done better at their goal, Paton and Rankin were chasing shadows. Paton was breathing out of his arse after 60 mins and was also culpable twice at their 2nd goal. We have absolutely no fluency when attacking and defenders just seem to have been told to aimlessly lump the ball. I actually wish John Souttar would get fit soon for someone who can pass the ball out from the back. A bad day all round.

Not by Jackie, going by the ZONE post match interview, it was his biggest criticism.

anyone else think we look unfit?
last season we got loads of success out of hounding teams down into making mistakes...read somewhere it was down to a certain training method brought in fae some lad fae st andrews or something...gave us an extra zing to burn teams out
this season we look fucked at times...maybe i'm imaginig it

I thought that too.
First goal look at the nick of GMS at the corner.Hands on hips and buckled over.Looked absolutely shattered.
Their first goal as well. It's like players are running in slow motion.Just very lethargic looking and weak as in the tackle.
Anytime i watch Arabzone i see the players standing in 3 or 4's talking barely tapping the ball tae one another. Now i'm sure that's not all they do.But do we practice set-pieces daily ?Do our players practice free kicks (when's the last time we scored one?),corners, and crosses (been awful this season).
As i said last night.I cannae shake the feeling all's not well.We have some talented players but feel were only playing at about 50/60% of our capabilities currently. And that goes for just about every player.

Yeah....great attitude for a manager to have when things are running well but perhaps not so great for when he needs to turn things around.
However, he does seem likeable and easy going which is probably why players like him, The world has changed from the Jim Mclean era and probably Jim Mclean wouldn't get away with being Jim Mclean these days. Players would just turn against him as is what clearly happened when Terry Butcher went into Hibs and started throwing his weight around trying to motivate an already demoralised Hibs team.
There are probably not many managers that Nadir Ciftci for example could play for, but McNamara is clearly a manager that Ciftci could operate under.......Not that I think that is such a great thing in itself as I am one of those who feel that Ciftci is overrated by the majority of United fans.......
.........we want tae cut out wi that mongol pussed duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhh Nadir Shifty, duuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Nadir Shifty chant an aw. Seriously, who thought that this oversued generic fan chant would suit the name 'Nadir Ciftci'?

Boy at my work's son is in Utd's youth system and heard from one of the coaches this weekend that all is not well at Tanny. The senior players are seemingly unhappy about Jackies methods. The main complaints being a) that they are not being trained hard enough (which supports what several people are saying about players looking unfit) and b) Jackie and the coaches spend no time whatsoever in training going over opposition strengths and weaknesses. Worrying stuff. Seemingly, the youth coaches don't like him and this was why Willo Flood left, cos he didn't rate McNamara.

Forgot to add that I also heard that Dow was injured before the players and management got 4 days off during the international break. Seemingly, with a couple of days treatment he would have made it on Saturday, but he was never called in cos everyone was off for 4 days, physios included!!!! WTF?????? Is Houston back in charge or something?????

a) those were the sorts of complaints that I heard about Peter Houston. Jon Daly apparently thought he was a lazy cunt, with further rumours abound that the was 'never there'.
b) This I can well believe. You just have to look at our performances against St Johnstone last year, with McNamara's decision to set out United to play to the exact same strategy that had seen us get eiter snuffed out and/or gubbed by them on the previous 3 meetings that year. I put that down to McNamara learning his footballing philosophy at Celtic, where indeed if he and his team played their own game well, then 99% of the times they would win, thus rendering worrying about what the opposition was doing as wholly unnecessary.

Must admit Jackie's mantra of 'it's about what we do',is starting to really grate on me.
I'm afraid it's either naive or arrogant to just dismiss the oppositions style, tactics and players in such a manner.
He doesn't even change his formation/personnel when we visit Parkhead.
making mistakes is ok,i can handle that in a young Manager. What i can't accept is the same mistakes getting made time and time again.

St Johnstone players and management as good as came out and said as much last season, particularly after the managers had a barny at the 1-0 home game saying they felt we were downright disrespectful the way the manager talks about other teams just smashing long balls into corners whilst making out that we are the Barca of the north. He's got to realise we need a plan b, and we need to start using our squad when regulars are not playing well. We need to get back to basics, working hard in training and on the park.
