Should be offered a deal imo.
Whether he would sign it is another matter entirely.
But he's a big handful and him and Murray have shown the makings of a decent partnership imo.

His clumsy style was distracting for ICT fans too but he had a cracking goal to game ratio like McKay up there when playing a system more suited.
No sure though TEK. All depends on the manager we end up with, his ability to recruit and contacts/network to bring in quality.
If we end up with an inexperienced manager id be glad to keep him. Glad we have Si Murray as his attitude and speed will serve us in the Championship well even if its just as a sub.
Neither are lone strikers.

I would think he'd do well in the SFL but a blank canvas maybe isn't a bad thing for the club at this moment in time

You could probably make a decent case for most of the squad to stay if you took them on their individual merits. Ability wise, they are all more than capable of doing a job in the Championship.
Whether you cab argue that some are more culpable than others, the bottom line is that the entire squad failed massively. It's a clean sweep that's needed now. They may have the ability, but they don't have the heart.
I'd only keep players who are A. likely to improve B. have sell on potential, or C. be undeniably better than anyone we could sign in that position.
Based on that, I'd keep Murray, Spittal and Fraser.
They're all part of a deep malaise at the club. I've no hankering to keep any of them if I'm honest.

Think yer right bud. Also depends on the wages the guys on. Murray would need a pay off with the contract hes on, whats the script with Ofere's deal?

Of course he could be a good Championship player but facts are he has been pish for United before this week.

Has he though?
Bear in mind he's hardly played. When he has....
V hearts (2-1 win) Was a thorn in their side all day with his physical play.Would have scored if it wasn't for an unbelievable save from their Keeper.
v Dundee (2-2 draw) Only comes on late on and would score if their keeper doesn't pull of an unbelievable save.Sets up the equaliser for McKay by winning an arial duel.
v Hamilton (1-3 loss) Horrific team performance but he was mega unlucky not to score with his shot that hit the underside of their bar when it was only 0-1
V Dundee (1-2 defeat) Scores and held the ball up decently
v ICT (2-3 win) As above
Granted he's not a World-Beater...but it's not a World-Beater we need in this league we are going into.

Tonight was the first time I thought he looked 100% fit. He was sharp and much more mobile. Agree, he'd cause problems in the Championship.

I think be has been, from what I've seen anyway.
You can mention incredible saves but in both of those first two games he was the big man up top for 30 minutes against 10 men, at home, against teams on the rack, and didn't score.
I didn't see the Hamilton game.
I don't think he was any more than average on Monday or today.

Last 18 months have been a slow lingering nightmare........clear out and start again is the only way....they are all keech....if not they're close to keech....we must start again .....oh and Morris !!!

He also came on second half at Thistle last month and was dreadful.
Also, you could pick almost any player and pick out instances of doing well at this and unlucky not to do that.
Bottom line, there isn't one, apart from maybe Murray, who can hold their head up high.

Spot on, 100%.
You listen to Francis, Mark, he's talking sense.
Fucking right I am, see inside, you wouldn't last two fucking minutes.

We've got to look long .....like Hertz did , blooded and built a team for the year after...admittedly had to be good enough to get up from that league and also....not include Gavin F Gunning.

Ofere isn't what we needed to get us out of trouble this year and has struggled to work up a decent partnership with anyone since he came in.
Doesn't win enough in the air for his height, when he gets the ball to his feet rarely makes a pass and sometimes looks uninterested.
However.
Would do a job I think in the championship and might be what we need next year.
Si Murray top scorer in the championship next year btw..

We need a new manager in quick as possible to make those decisions. There is no argument that most of the free to leave players have got what they deserve. However can they be replaced with better players who will accept £500 p/w? I would take Durnan over players like McCracken or Benedictus they are the sort of options at £500.

Was watching him closely last night and he really is a bit of an enigma.
His first touch is often so poor and sometimes he takes a touch too much or gets in a team mates road.He also missed an absolute sitter when tee'd up perfectly by Matty Smith.
BUT
He is/was involved in so so much of our play.He won every single aerial challenge.
He scored (again) and also won the header and set-up Johnson for the equaliser. The main thing i liked is he never hid the whole match and still looked for the ball constantly, this despite getting a fair bit of stick from fans in the ETL.
A big lump like him might just do well in the Championship if surrounded by pace and trickery like Murray,Johnson,Smith etc who can feed of his knock-downs/feed him.
He reminds me a bit of a rawer version of Mixu (the player).

Rekon his brain needs coached as much if not more than his feet.

Disagree about his attitude.
I thought he constantly kept fighting for the ball and looking for it even at 1-3 down.

Fair enough but I want the good attitude every match.
