I take no joy from Mixu being sacked tbh, only sadness.
Listening to his Arabzone interview last night there is one thing you can't fault the man for...he cares about the job/club and has gave 100%.
Very sad that it's came to this imo.

I like Mixu in general, was a good player for United, you can tell he cares about the club and seems to be a really good character. But he's been a disaster as manager and has to go. Like Tek says, I take no joy from it but it has to happen.

Good news.
Hope we take our time to find the right replacement.
Agreed with the above. He talks a good game but he's done zero to deserve a chance next season.

Sorry it didn't work out for Mixu, thought he was passionate and spoke well.
Fekin disastrous results and many mistakes , no choice, has to go.

Can't fault his passion but a terrible manager.

Dont think anyone will take joy from him being sacked but its the right thing to do.
Hardly anyone wanted him as manager.. He has made us worse.

Unbelievably, he made us worse. Didn't think it was possible.Disaster of an appointment.
Good fkn riddance.
As for replacements, I don't have a clue.

Alex McLeish is the man to go for

Sad to see him go but completely necessary, he's been an absolute disaster.
Really wanted it to work for him, and maybe I'm grasping at straws that aren't even there but think it might have been different with him in from the summer with the budget Jackie got from the start.

As a player he was great and I'm sure he's a nice bloke and all. The bottom line is he has now proven himself to not have the tactical knowledge, the man management skills or the ability to keep us up and I don't think he has the ability to bring us back up next season either and that means he has to go.

I'm gutted its not worked out for Mixu but, other than getting us fitter he's been a disaster. His signings were crap and other than the goalkeeper, failed to address any of our problems. The stubbornness with tactics not working (largely as a result of failing to address our lack of width), the dropping of players for weeks for no apparent reason (Erskine, Durnan, Donaldson, Morris) and then suddenly restoring them to the team when clearly not fit for big games was all baffling. The lack of changes during the games and the failure to respond to opponents altering their tactics cost us loads of points hence why we kept losing games from winning positions (Dundee, Motherwell and Partick away and Hamilton at home being cases in point). I don't mind that he gives some of them absolute bollockings in the dressing room. Players need that, especially these pussies that play for us, but if you are going to be that type of manager you need to get tactics and preparation spot on yourself otherwise people will just look at you and think, "Why are you shouting at me for being pish when you are pish as well??" Mixu clearly didn't have the respect of the players in that sense in the way that Levein did, who by all accounts was fierce in the dressing room.
Maybe with a summer he could get his own players in and address things tactically, but we cannot afford to take that chance if he makes an arse of it after making the same mistake last summer.
He's got to go.

Worth considering at the very least. We need a safe pair of hands that knows the Scottish game and that can have us pushing for promotion back to the Premiership.

Management must speak with one voice. When it doesn't management itself becomes a peripheral opponent to the team's mission.
Goodbye Mixu.

Agree he has to go but don't think he has made us worse. Jackie had us getting skilled by 3 goals every game - we are at least tighter at the back.
Would I be confident on him getting us back up at the first time of asking? Nope....unless there were wholesale changed from a squad that won't play for him

Said it before I genuinely feel sorry for mixu it's just is not going working at all, looks like he's lost the dressing room and the fans!

Think we are waiting for the legal stuff to be sorted. Maybe ST has learned from Jackies departure where he did it in a room in Perth with the whole of BBC Scotland about 5mtrs away.
Expect it to be official tomorrow as can't see it being tonight now. Bye Mixu great player pish manager!

Also heard another thing that, there's a player who wants the job!

Can only be Dillon or Rankin.
Rankin is an infectious, enthuastic wee guy and i think would make a good Coach for someone as part of a Coaching team. But that would have to start as just that...a coach.
Dillon for me,no sorry i don't see it at all.His interviews send me to sleep.I don't see how he could ever truly inspire anyone. And he's just too fucking 'nice' tbh to ever succeed in top level management.
They both are tbh.
Rankin might at least be able to be the 'Good Cop' to somebody's 'Bad Cop' however.Maybe.
