Great original post Shed. But just want something clarified in what you meant in some supporters deserve this?

You know the ones who think ST is still doing a great job, that Jackie deserved more time, who can see "definite improvement" in Mixu, who think Ryan Dow still deserves more time to come good, who think Gunnings a footballer, who think that "eliminating some supporters" is ok, who said its ok we've got 2 keepers to fight for the jersey at the start of the season, who think those that are critical are just agenda-driven, who think that the squad are all giving 100%, they tend to think all of these things and will support ST regardless of the shambles this season.  Unfortunately there are a few people like that who are getting what they deserve.

Thanks for the clarification Shed. I'm not doubting that there might be fans like that, I don't believe that there are any fans on here that would match all of those descriptions.

I know there might be some niggley wee comments on here between certain folk (for example me with yourself, B&T and HH) that can get under the skin which might seem we are of a different opinion of things regarding the way the club is run and about United in general. That can't be further from the truth as I agree wholeheartedly with your original post.

The only reason we might 'clash' on here is because I just have a different way of expressing things and dealing with it. That doesn't mean to say you are wrong, absolutely not at all, and believe me that doesn't meant to say I will just be sitting on my arse and putting up with it. It's just I like to come on here to commiserate and maybe even be cheered up by my fellow Arabs on here. But forums are all about expressing opinions, I respect that and I respect every supporter on here that does have an opinion, if it's different than my own then so be it, if we can have a laugh about it then even better, because God knows we could probably use some after this past year and a bit.

Tbf bud it isn't really on here in the main, folk might think 1 or 2 of those things on here but I don't think there's anyone who thinks it all, these people do exist tho, mainly hanging on to coat tails looking for scraps.

Can I reiterate what I said in post 17. What the phuck can we do about it.

True, as some suggest, we could just no renew our Season Tickets in some kinda protest. However if a large enough percentage of ST Holders did that, there might no be enough coffers to run the Club. Yeah, it might rid us of Thompson, because we might no have a Club.

Not claiming to have all the answers mate, but protests must start at The remaining league games, very vocal protests, and they have to continue until the club is put up for sale/ST resigns as chairman and allows the club to be run properly or he himself implements significant changes to the way the club is run which allow the team on the park to compete where they should be.

Strength in numbers is all we have just now.

Sadly I do not believe we've hit rock bottom yet, I think there's far worse to come.

Good post shed, nothing I could argue with there.

Hope your wrong about the last wee bit of course...

Re: Getting exactly what we deserve

The problem here is not getting rid of ST but who would be willing to replace him. No amount of shouting and screaming or painted bed sheets is going to get ST to walk away from his inheritance. So in the absence of a credible future owner things don't look to rosy.

Re: Getting exactly what we deserve

Might be possible to get him to take a step back and appoint an able administrator in his place though if enough pressure is applied.

The Thompson families decision to repay their loans suggests they're getting a bit detached in any case.

Re: Getting exactly what we deserve

That might be a solution scarpia  hopefully someone who can select a decent manager. player recruitment is the most important part of a managers job. Everyone of the ICT team yesterday could have been recruited over the last 3 or 4 years. Instead of Draper we got Schneider instead of Warren we got Durnan I could go on. Stuart McCall has a decent track record

Yes, paying my hard earned cash to Dundee football club, honestly can't think why I never thought of that before.......

Do you honestly think I have had sufficient time to get my head back together after yesterday?

Anyway, desperate times call for desperate measures. It's a toss up between giving Mr Thompson your hard-earned cash or Dundee and other teams? The object is to send a hard driven message to Mr T. Also can watch Dundee getting beat versus United playing the way they are!

You are a tit.

Re: Getting exactly what we deserve

I think Ram1971 was making a suggestion in desperation.

Regarding taking action to attempt to change things, what about a campaign on a chosen date (say 14th May) where an organised email is sent from everyone who is looking for something positive to happen. The content could be brief, outlining why it is unlikely that the senders will be purchasing a season ticket.

United have, of late, ignored emails I have sent, but they do receive and view them, and a weight of supporters stating why they will not purchase unless certain changes are made will reinforce that it is not a 'lunatic fringe', 'keyboard warriors' or  'vocal minority' who are unhappy.

A template of the simple content could be provided via fan sites or perhaps the Fed.

Or maybe I'm making a daft suggestion out of desperation.

Re: Getting exactly what we deserve

In the same vain Pat, I had thought of handing in a letter of concern via the lassies in the shop when I was renewing the Season Ticket. Mibbee no a great idea, but mibbee Ok if you dinna have email. 5000 complaints in writing or via email.

Re: Getting exactly what we deserve

Written/e-mail letters of concern isn't a bad idea, there has to be public action too tho.

Re: Getting exactly what we deserve

At no time in all my time as a Shed fan (c.46 years) have I ever felt as gutted and dejected as I have been after yesterday's performance. I have taken losing cup finals against St. Mirren, Motherwell, St. Johnstone, et al, far better than this. There are no straws left to grasp at. Oh season's end, wherefor art thou?

Re: Getting exactly what we deserve

I worry that ST would like the reaction to be an internet/mail one. Easily brushed off.
Also worry that starving the club of money isn't possible en mass or effective.
No ideas put forward so far are any good and most are counter productive.
Before you ask, I've none either yet.

You're possibly right phobes. If all the Season Ticket holders handed in a so called letter of concern/complaint then they'd probably be ignored/binned and no even mentioned, but what if they were handed in on mass.

Gather them together into one massive bundle, and hand them in. Preferably in the company of the Press....
