Derek Robertson

Heard today that Derek Robertson passed away this morning.
Sad news, boy bled tangerine.

RIP Derek.

Re: Derek Robertson

Never met Derek personally but he always had a wee head nod and 'hiya' for me and Motherwellarab if he seen us outside away grounds (you start to recognise familiar faces over the years i guess). Also attended one or two Q+A's over the years he was at.One he attended with Houstie on a cold, late Sunday night in November in a wee Glasgow pub.You remember wee things like that.

Sad to hear anyman has passed still relatively young. That it's a seemingly very nice man just makes it that wee bit sadder.

RIP Derek.Thoughts with all his family.

Re: Derek Robertson

Had meetings with Derek a few times about a year 18 month ago when he was leading research into Pat Reilly and Tom Timmons. God bless his wife and kids.

Re: Derek Robertson

Really sad news. Like many others I met Derek a couple of times (for example the day after we won the cup in 2010) and he was a real gent.

Too much commotion

Re: Derek Robertson

Never heard anybody say anything bad about him,  that's the biggest compliment I can pay him.

No more pain Derek, enjoy looking down on us at Hampden.

Re: Derek Robertson

The club has badly missed Derek's communication skills, enthusiasm and commitment over the past year.

As Arab Plumber states, never heard a bad word said about him, very sorry to hear of his passing.

Hopefully his family find comfort by the tributes people are paying to the man.
