Looking forward to the explanation for this one.
There is defenetily Arabs who have a touch of SS about them, defo not the ones who saw right through Thompson as he was wrecking our Club.
You'll be waiting a long time if you want an explanation. Thought it's pretty self explanatory. Congratulations if you were one of the ones who saw right through Thompson

No, no it's not.

I'll help you out then. Like Tek and Andy pointed out when has ST last said anything positive about the finances or about anything, he is always glass half empty doom and gloom merchant which, in my opinion, has majorly rubbed off on some people on here.
Hence that's how I think some people have more in common with ST than they think.
Just my opinion, but I'm sure the band of merry men will come and tell me otherwise

The fact we are completely shite might have something to do with that as well?

It's the increasingly certain demotion from the top flight that concerns me. If we were relegated 3 years ago with a7m debt we would be in dire straights. what our current debt is (i,ll leave that to those in the know) it s at a level which gives the club a better chance of a sustainable future.

Even when we were doing well ST always looked miserable about the club and the finances although at that time the bank were on our case so he probably had some justification. However:
If we keep pissing money away the way we are just now we might be back in £7 million worth of debt pretty soon. Regardless of whether we go down or not Thompson is going to have to start earning his considerable salary and is going to have to make some pretty harsh financial decisions which will upset many people both inside and outside the club. £750,000 losses for a club which has made £3.5 million in profit is a fucking disgrace. I don't like seeing boys losing their jobs or having wages cut but that's what is about to happen and yes, ST's is the first wage that should be getting cut. Unless Utd become a massively streamlined operation there won't be a club for too much longer. The question is are fans willing to accept the poorer quality team that will likely result in? Lets face it, we're not exactly taking having a shite team at the moment well and thats one that's costing us a fortune (nor should we btw).
Thing is how does it all add up?
£3.5 million profit - running costs - operating losses - cost of paying back soft loans/interest - cost of punting the drinking club - cost of doing up Gussie - transfer fees - agents fees - drop in crowds from Feb onwards = ??????
Was all that money spent on the above? Or, is some of it going back to the Thompson family recouping Eddies money? That's the million dollar question.

A few things to cover here LAO.
Have a wee look at my post from yesterday - the £750k loss was due to one off factors (including Jackie's bonus) - having said that the income drop if relegated or even a season without player sales or a cup run would be problematic currently.
Wrt your point about getting a poorer quality team if losses are cut - that imo is exactly what we're looking at now - from 2013 on ST implemented some fairly hefty cost cutting (which we might have gotten away with if we had a better manager/a smaller squad).
Some of the money has gone to pay off all of the related party loans (ie the Thompsons) - tbf they were loans but having said that I'd have rather seen the interest bearing loans given priority.
Along with an early payment of a tranche of the other loans has backfired as they've gone from having cash in the bank to looking at a potential cash flow problem if we get relegated.

Just got an email from Arabtrust giving a summary of the clubs agm actually. One thing that caught my eye was that priority was given to paying back the Thompson family's interest free directors loans first so that explains a few things.

Generally, I'm a cheery positive person, and I go to the football to enjoy the day. The football has been wasting it for a long while now, and this financial stuff, over which we have little influence unless we try to alter the path of the directors via the club's income, can be really depressing.
The club generally do not respond to any queries as to directors' plans and reasons for past decisions. Communication is poor. I'll except 'Mhari' from reception in that, as she was very good when I lost an item at the ground recently: but some of the staff will be under threat of unemployment should we go down.
Aye, I enjoy the day out and the company, but soon decisions will have to be taken: should I continue to be taken for a mug, or cut free from Scottish football all together.

Excellent posts TEK, if you keep telling everyone that we're doomed eventually everyone will think we're doomed and I think this is a key factor in the apathy that is around a lot of United supporters just now. Sick to fuck hearing about United's balance sheet.
Despite the excellent preparation from the display team at the derby the atmosphere in the home end was as bad as I can remember for such a big game, even at 2-1 down when we had 90% possession and attempt after attempt on goal it still was quiet, and I'm as guilty as anyone in that regard, I just can't get up for it anymore.
As Mixu said, what's the fucking point in training? If we keep players we don't win anything, if we sell players we're still in debt, if we keep the bank loan we're crippled with debt, if we take soft loans from friendly fuckers and agree an incredible deal to clear our bank debt we end up paying even more back?
The club is a shambles, the relationship between the club and fans is pathetic, the team is shite, the league is pish, the National team can't qualify for a tournament that Wales and Northern fucking Ireland will be at.
It's shite being Scottish! We're the lowest of the low. The scum of the fucking Earth! The most wretched, miserable, servile, pathetic trash that was ever shat into civilisation. Some people hate the English. I don't. They're just wankers. We, on the other hand, are colonised by wankers. Can't even find a decent culture to be colonised by. We're ruled by effete arseholes. It's a shite state of affairs to be in, TEK, and all the fresh air in the world won't make any fucking difference.
Just noticed this.
Pmsl at the last paragraph.Superb.

At least the original had heroin to fall back onto.
