The players (particularly Shifty) may well have been due a cut of the fee and/or Vat would be due on the sale of registrations.
Certainly a lot to dig into here - should keep my occupied this weekend though the end result of looking at accounts is normally a combination of

But they cant count the other £800k as profit if they have't had it yet can they? Thats the point in making here.
Its maybe £1,2m in cash right now and the other £800k dependent upon appearances or goalsor another clause/add-on.

That was the fee for Ciftci. He got a big percentage of it though.

If there was more money to come in, they would tell us that and not be saying we are desperate for a loan.

So if "800k" has dissapeared we will expect to see the chairman done for fraud in the near future.
Relegation is going to be expensive better get my early bird season tickets bought, the share of the semi final money should help, maybe sell Spittal and Fraser. maybe we might not get relegated.

Whas saying fraud? Fact is reported fee was 1.5 million. In reality though it's half that as nadir got his cut. You add on the McGowan money and souttar then that gives 1.2 million

HMRC I would imagine.
40% tax on £2M is £800k.
One issue that stands out in the accounts and has previously been flagged up as a cause for concern is the operating loss of £798,816 (up £684,481 from 2014).
Doesn't look good but the devil as always is in the detail and imo is not as apocalyptic as has been and doubtless will be suggested.
Three areas which as best as I can tell would have contributed to the op loss are;
Cost of staff - up by £427,907 - despite the headcount going down from 97 to 88 - best guess is we're looking, at least in part, at Jackie's wee bonus.
Payments to acquire tangible fixed assets up by £290,891 - improvements to Tannadice and Gussie park?
Payments to acquire football registrations at £536,862 - up by £466,894 - Telfer, Muirhead and Murray I guess (boy has that been money well spent )
The point is these are all pretty well one off events so not likely to repeat next season.

Without going into our finances in any great detail (cos i find it tedious by now tbh) has there ever been a season in Stephen Thompson's 8 year tenure when he hasn't painted a negative landscape regards our finances?
Early in his Chairmanship he bemoaned the collapse of Setanta and over the course of about 18 months wouldn't shut-up about it.
Then he bemoaned the lack of Dundee Derbies due to the BNB's continued involvement in The Rola Cola League of Fun season after season.
Then he bemoaned the lack of the Hun when they died.
He over the years constantly mentioned our bank debt.
He in recent times mentioned our debt too our 'soft loanees'.
He's frequently over the years talked of our need to cut playing budgets just about every season.
Christ he even i seem to remember bemoaned the cost of playing in Europe when we were due to fly to Wroclaw.
The funny thing is some Utd fans criticise fellow supporters and comment that 'they'd always find something to moan about',suggesting basically that we're negative, moany bastards. And maybe we are.
But as i've said before i think some of our support have became a by-product of this Chairman.I mean how can you possibly feel optimistic about our clubs future when you have a Chairman who always sounds so fucking negative and dour?
8 years he's fucking done nothing but whinge and moan about our club and it's finances.Eight fucking years. He's a miserable, ungrateful individual and i can't wait till the day he's gone from our club.
Think about it.Not once do i remember painting a sunny picture about the club.He makes it sound like a noose constantly hanging round his neck.
Football's about escapism from the drudgery of the 9 to 5 for most.I am sick of his shite.
I want a Chairman who wants to take on the fucking World.

This despite selling about what? 10 players in that time? All for great money.
We should have been in a very strong position in Scottish football post-Hun demise. Not just on the field, but off it too.I'm talking about cementing ourselves as a top 6 side for the next decade.
We've absolutely fucked that opportunity on a massive scale.Anyway excuse me while i go and put on tonight's lottery ticket.....

agreed TEK. First half of the 2000-2010 decade we sold one player from memory, 200k for steven thompson, that was it until Mark Wilson for 400k in 2006. To have taken in the transfer fees we have done in recent years, and still be fucked for money is beyond shocking.

Since Stephen Thompson took over as Chairman we've sold for money....
Noel Hunt
David Goodwillie
Johnny Russell
Damian Casalinouvo (albeit a token fee 50k)
Scott Allan
Andy Robertson
Ryan Gauld
Stuart Armstrong
GMS
Nadir Ciftci
Ryan McGowan
John Souttar
12 players.(7 of those in an 18 month period btw). All these players bar Casalinouvo went for 6 or 7 figures.
That we still have debt is incredible.
That our clubs future could be in jeopardy is nothing short of scandalous.
p.s. bear in mind we also sold Barry Robson for 1.2mill just 9 months before ST took the chair.
Add on 2 League Cup Final appearances and 2 Scottish Cup Final appearances in that time and we have made more money than any team outwith Rangers and Celtic by a CONSIDERABLE DISTANCE.

Yet we still have people happy with our downward spiral under his leadership.
Thus was broadcasted over a year ago what was happening with the finances and got laughed at by many.
Who is our next 5 players to sell over the next 2 years to keep us going ?
How bad will dufc become overall as a club over this?
Ruined.

Can't be bothered getting into it all again right now, I'll just say I agree 100% with Tek.
Oh and the bit about finding ways to cut costs, someone buy the cunt a mirror.

Excellent posts TEK, if you keep telling everyone that we're doomed eventually everyone will think we're doomed and I think this is a key factor in the apathy that is around a lot of United supporters just now. Sick to fuck hearing about United's balance sheet.
Despite the excellent preparation from the display team at the derby the atmosphere in the home end was as bad as I can remember for such a big game, even at 2-1 down when we had 90% possession and attempt after attempt on goal it still was quiet, and I'm as guilty as anyone in that regard, I just can't get up for it anymore.
As Mixu said, what's the fucking point in training? If we keep players we don't win anything, if we sell players we're still in debt, if we keep the bank loan we're crippled with debt, if we take soft loans from friendly fuckers and agree an incredible deal to clear our bank debt we end up paying even more back?
The club is a shambles, the relationship between the club and fans is pathetic, the team is shite, the league is pish, the National team can't qualify for a tournament that Wales and Northern fucking Ireland will be at.
It's shite being Scottish! We're the lowest of the low. The scum of the fucking Earth! The most wretched, miserable, servile, pathetic trash that was ever shat into civilisation. Some people hate the English. I don't. They're just wankers. We, on the other hand, are colonised by wankers. Can't even find a decent culture to be colonised by. We're ruled by effete arseholes. It's a shite state of affairs to be in, TEK, and all the fresh air in the world won't make any fucking difference.

Tek and Andy's recent post's pretty much sums it up for me.
I think a lot of the vocal ST detesters are suffering from Stockholm Syndrome. Maybe people have more in common with him than they think.

Personally I can't wait for the season to end. I have been that way since shortly after it began when I saw the obvious direction we were heading in. The season was over before Mixu took over. I had had high hopes that he would turn things around for the future, but we are in a more desperate situation than ever. No, I don't blame Mixu. I think he's tried his best, but I also think in recent times the pressure has affected him and his decisions.
I believe the Club is riddled with negativity. There are things not right in the Halls of Tannadice. It is a top down situation. The Dundee Rag the other day ran the MacKinnon story at Raith. He took over with no resources, no money, Club paying the lowest full-time wages in Scotland, Club needed to be overhauled with no real means to do it, yet they all worked hard and have a reasonable team on the park, with key players in 'every' position. MacKinnon says out of all the players signed, he believes there is NOT one dud amongst them. They have all played their part.
How many of our signings are NOT duds? And we have signed far more players than Raith! If United go down and get bombed out the Scottish, I'll be dancing in the streets of Raith next season. As the Dees supporters say, 'Mr Thompson is the man to be running United,' because he is running them into the ground. And the ground is not Tannadice.

Looking forward to the explanation for this one.
There is defenetily Arabs who have a touch of SS about them, defo not the ones who saw right through Thompson as he was wrecking our Club.
