Mixu arguing with Dundee fans

WTF was all that about?

At times he seemed totally distracted by them instead of the actual game.

That's two or three times now he's argued with other fans behind his dug out (think Killie away was one and can't mind the other game at the mo).

Pressure getting to him?

They were throwing stuff at him seemingly.

He clearly was!  On the TV it looked like it was some United fans he was arguing wi.

If it's passion ye want.  Mixu's the man.

That said, we need more than passion.

When we won the cup in 2010 Peter Houston had sussed that the Ross County midfield was good and so he bypassed them. I'm no convicted that Mixu has sussed that he's been sussed. The number o times the midfield was bypassed and the back 3 were under pressure was scary.  I was genuinely worried we were gonna take a belt in in the second half.

Separate point - Q for stattos.  When was the last time the guy that came on for the sub that was subbed, was subbed?

Well then if that's the case maybe some fucker at the club should have been in liason with the chief of stewards/police as the game was going on in a bid to remove the perpetrators.

Quick enough to throw our own fans under a bus afterall.

Re: Mixu arguing with Dundee fans

With proper substitutions and tactics that gesture might have really meant something.

Re: Mixu arguing with Dundee fans

Suppose it was likely.

Actually hope he gets a ban to the stand. Not a bad thing to be having a clearer view of the play and tactical on goings.

I've never understood why managers think it's best to watch play from ground level.
He needs to see what we see and he designs panning out.

Wee Jum did it and oldco Walter copied his mentor I remember.  You don't need to be pitch side to get instructions out and up higher is better to see how well or pish the play is fae an elevated view.

Re: Mixu arguing with Dundee fans

"Dundee United are reviewing their security in the Jerry Kerr Stand following Sunday’s derby. Manager Mixu Paatelainen complained about the stewarding in that area of Tannadice after claiming he was verbally abused by Dundee fans, who were seated above the United dugout area. The club will now look at keeping the first few rows of that stand empty, with the then vacant section roped off.The hope is that by pushing supporters back a few rows that will make it more difficult for them to get close to the barrier that runs along the front of the stand."

Give them the Shed and the Fair Play. Keep them away from the dugout area altogether.
