Wow where do I start, yeah it's alright no getting beat but holy fuck that was absolutely disgraceful!
I struggle to be happy about the outcome of that game and mixu had absolutely cost us, why on earth he took anier, Dow and rankin of is laughable! Yeah he scored both goals but what on earth does McKay offer, how Dixon lasted the full 90 is questionable he's dreadful! This can't go on or we WILL go down!
The red card should have galvanised us but we showed no tempo what so ever, we should have been absolutely piling the pressure on there keeper who hasn't played all season!
Far from impressed, draws won't save us anymore and that was a unbelievable chance to get all three and mixu cost us!

Copied from the match thread but maybe better suited here.
I don't think a draw will be enough but while it's still possible we go for it.
We actually look half decent from midfield to front, not great but not relegation material either but at the back we are a fucking shambles.
Durnan for Gunning, Rankin for Dixon at lwb, Fraser into midfield for Rankin and Murray for Dow with any two from Ofere/Anier/McKay up top from now on for me.

Make no mistake, that's one massive opportunity missed. The point is more or less worthless. All that's changed is we have one less game to claw it back. Another few head scratching decisions from our manager, which is becoming a weekly occurrence. Clueless.
Pissed right off. Anyone happy we scraping a draw today is too easy pleased.
Fkn garbage.

Agree with all above. Gunning and Dixon are a fuckin disgrace.... led by a hopeless fuckwit of a coach.... led by a cunt!!
Top to bottom, we are a shambolic laughing stock!
Offline
Yes we were poor, but how many times have we seen teams unable to break down teams with 10 men. Missed opportunity yes! but we threw everything at it second half and were unlucky not to win it had it not been for their keeper! Sending of changing the game or not, we salvaged something when we easily could not have and sent those Tinkys home spewing. I'll take that after being 2-0 down....,for now.

Mixu's stubborness over this 3 at the back caper is in part helping to seal our fate.
Make no mistake we were potentially on the end of a hiding until the penalty incident. The back 3 was catastrophic and everytime they got the ball out wide we looked massively vulnerable from the ensuing ball into the middle.
Paul Dixon is such a weak link now.I can't understand how Mixu can't see that.He was brutal again today and is offering NOTHING defensively OR going forward either. So it kind of defeats the purpose of the back 3 having him in midfield.
When they got Bain sent off and we scored the resultant penalty we should have took the game by the throat but instead i thought instead we huffed'n'puffed and for the most part made it easy for Dundee to defend against us.Time after time our final ball was a disgrace (as were our corners and free-kick deliveries). We just seemed to lack any real urgency and desire and when we did create a chance the finishing was comical at times.
Bearing in mind not only did they go down to 10 and lose their Keeper but 2 of their 3 centre halves went off injured in the first half and i can't but help feel we absolutely blew a golden chance to win that today.
Despite the injury time equaliser i'm feeling deflated. We're running out of games (our next one is a week into April beh christ). And we aren't putting together the winning run of games that's required to get us out of this shit.
Not good enough Mixu (again).Poor subs made and tactical decisions in no way helped us today.
Offline
We were abysmal. Three at the back is not working. Morris is an empty shirt. The pitch isn't helping us either.
Offline
Like for like subs when we're bottom of the league and needing a win and against 10 men. Clueless. Absolutely clueless. Yet happy to get involved with BNB's above? Not nearly good enough.

There's nothing wrong with 3 at the back as a system if
1. you have the right 3 centre halves
2. You have the right players in front of that
3. You have genuine wing backs who can actually defend and get up and get crosses in
4. You're gonna get the ball down and play it out from the back
There's lots wrong with 3 at the back if
1. Gavin Gunning is one of them
2. Callum Morris is one of them
3. One wing back isn't really a wing back and the other is not fkn interested
4. One of your centre halves is always deep and one is trying to play offside.
5. One of your centre halves is so thick he's both guys in point 4.
6. All your gonna do is punt the ball aimlessly up the park

Motherwellarab made a good point to me on the phone the other night.
3 at the back can work really well if you have really good centre halves that are intelligent players like Malpas,Petric,Narey,Mio,Pressley etc etc.Leaders, guys who know what they're doing positionally and can play the ball out from the back with ease.
We don't have even one intelligent, silky player at the back.Instead we have 3 tactically naive players who all to often resemble a Deer caught in the headlights.
Actually that's maybe a wee bit unfair on Donaldson cos i think he's a decent young player and would blossom playing beside the type of players i mentioned above.
Gunning,Morris,Dillon and probably Durnan will never improve as players though and that's why we need to bin the lot of them and start from scratch.

Cannae say a lot more than others have written here. My positivity is waning, however.
Mixu doesn't appear to have the ability or foresight to change things which appear obvious to the vast majority of us.
A half decent manager could have won us the points in that second half, but the defence is always on the cusp of the next disaster.
Offline
Have to agree 3 at the back is not working, however neither was 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2 it's all down to the standard of player. good players can make any system work. Some players seem to get a hard time on here while others escape the flack. I thought Gunning was ok today dominant in the air again, where Rankin for me was abysmal, his standard of passing is laughable, yes he closes down the opposition but it is normally him who gives it away.
Offline
Our star players vary from week to week and duds from villain to hero and back to zero.
Mixu has a hard job and the players that undid Jackie Mac will probably see off Mixu.
I'm happy in the end as we avoided defeat. I'm a bit gutted that we missed a pile of good chances especially Donaldson's last gasp one.
5 year old first match so I'm blinded by relief and her elation to avoid defeat. Feels like a win for me and her.
Whether we make it by a point or go down by the 2 lost remains to be seen.
We are all at different stages of acceptance of relegation too having a fighting chance.
Still think we will have a mental end to the season in a good way.
Don't blame others for thinking I'm nuts though.

For me rankin is bit like si Murray runs aboot like fuck but doesn't really have the ability to do anything with the ball! I'm absolutely gutted the way Dixon is playing I bloody used to love him running up and down the pitch beside the George fox, no confidence in himself what so ever, real shame!

If Coll Donaldson hadn't sklaffed his shot and actually hit the net with a 3-2 winner would anyone be posting similar stuff.
This is fitba! Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't.
Experts all over the place when it doesn't.
Offline
Would have still posted it cause it took us 40 mins to get a goal against a make shift back 4 and a inexperienced goalkeeper! If you are happy with 1 point, well I'm speechless tbh!

Strange game. Mind wasna on it the day. Canna really remember an affy lot about it, as my younger daughter is ill ATM and was going to hospital right after the game to see her.
1st half Dundee were the better team. Once again, we were hopeless in the air. There were far too many passes to no one.
Their 1st goal might've been prevented if we'd stopped the cross coming in from near the corner (think it was Donaldson there), but the main protagonists were Gunning and Morris who were either side of Hemmings in the box. Then they both ran forward away from Hemmings him leaving him on his todd, so the ba goes straight to him, and has a shot under Kawashima for the goal. Gunning tries to clear but because he's so far away from the goal-line, he canna get to it in time.
Their 2nd goal the majority of folk in the GF thought Stewart was offside. The lino didna half take pelters for it, including 1 from Dixon that McLean booked him for. No sure if he was offside or no TBH, but it was close.
2nd half we were the better team. Things certainly changed when they went down to 10 after we scored from the penalty. But we didna take enough advantage of them going down to 10. There were times when you didna think Dundee were playin with 10 men. Our build-ups to their box well for me anyway too slow in nature. This gave Dundee plenty time to get enough behind the ba esp. in the box. Even when we got around their box, there seemed to be a lot of pusyfootin aboot, and not for the 1st time this Season, I was left wondering if anyone's willing to take a shot. Of coorse it wasna helped by the fact that the slow build-ups to their box to begin with, let Dundee have plenty men back there to block all the attempts, passes, thru balls.
When we had them pinned in their own half for large parts of the 2nd half, I knew we were onto something. Play improved when Fraser came on, and even moreso when Murraymints came on. Knew he would trouble their back line.
Gunning and Donaldson lost us possession due to no payin attention, and p1sh passes. Mind oe atleast one occasion in the 2nd half when it coulda been deadly. A sloppy couple oe passes between Gunning and Donaldson went badly wrong, and we lost the ba, with not one United player between the Dundee player and the box. This was indirectly as a result of the 3 at the back. And WTF is all this slipping and falling on the pitch aboot. Dixon and McKay esp. and 1 or 2 others. Dinna tell me they're gonna blame it on the sprinklers being on before the game.
Stewart shoulda been off. Right on front of me. Coming together with Dixon. Dixon's on the ground, and Stewart stands on him. Chunt. Ref misses that, and so does the Lino. Hard to believe the officials are getting paid for this. There was even a comment from the copper who was standing beside me. Even Kawashima came over to Dixon. Hope the Linesman is giving his wages to charity this week.
All the same. It's a valuable point I wasna expecting to get when the half-time whistle went. BTW it's no often I'll slag off people directly but the Dundee fans seem immensely bitter. My missus even commented on it in the hospital this afternoon, saying that she heard some oe them comparing their enjoyment to our predicament, with the downfall oe the Nazis. It's phuckin pathetic.

Nothing life-threatening lads. Only mentioned it to help get my last point across, about the enjoyment experienced by some BNBs, being akin to the euphoria of Hitlers downfall. Was hoping some of you boys would rip at least some of my post to shreds!
