Aye, Hibs were probably the team out the two we didn't want to be against, which is a bit odd as they are from a league below and appeared to be struggling recently.

His it is mate. Don't know who I'd rather have played.
Tactically we are occasionally undone and maybe in that respect we have a better chance against Hibs who are also hitting a dip in form when we are on the up (ish)?
Hibs have the flair players and big support but it's not a sure thing if that matters on the day as they have flopped with good players and 30000 plus at Hampden plenty.
We have to out sing the bigger support like we did v the sheep and you and crew need to come up wi another cracker of a display to set the tone/mood for that!
Just listened to Stubbs saying his players didn't "bottle it on the night". One his first comments in the interview. It's in their psyche.
Keeper banned for semi I think too.

Is that because we can't guarantee a full coverage D?

No mate as could do a part end but its a risk with sections fully selling out with planning display etc. Id like to think we would sell out fully behind goal but its not a risk worth taking as we need to submit plans to hampden security and police in advance.
Differant story for finals
Online!
Will be a very tough game.
It's all very well saying Hibs are 'bottlers' but the fact is that on their day they are a good side who play fast attacking fitba, and keep the ball down and pass.
They also have quite a number of experienced players who have not only played in Cup Final's at Hampden before ...but WON THEM!! (Stokes,Stevenson,McGinn,Thomson etc etc).
We will need to be at our best and hopefully stay lucky on the injuries front before then.

We're a lot better now than the last time we played them.
Fuck them.
Bring it on.

Tough game, they have some very skilful players but we can beat them. Means there will be a bigger crowd there too which is good.

Fae the fishul,
"United’s initial allocation will be 4,000 seats in the North Stand priced at £28 adults and £12 concession, 3300 seats in the adjoining West Stand priced at £18 adult and £7 concession and 729 seats in the BT South Stand to supporters at the £28 and £12 prices. In the event that these initial allocations are sold further seats will be made available".
Maybe similar set up to the Raith semi in 2010. Hope they don't split the support like they did but join it up. South Stand fans won't be so vocal but North and West should be joined.
See why Bowers wrote off a display.

Disappointed from a pub/carry out point of view (which is about the main reason I go to matches these days) that we are in the West side of the city. Like Arabnophobia, hope they don't put a big split between our supporters in the North and West Stands, but it's the SFA, so they probably will.

You have to see Cummings miss v Raith there. Open goal, half a yard out and hit the bar at 2-1 down.
Don't want to tempt fate but Hibs recent form (bar the win in Inverness) is nothing short of rank.
Looking at tonight's game and their previous efforts (especially Dumbarton) they're very vulnerable to crosses/set pieces.
I'm starting to feel quietly confident for the semi.

scarpia, that susceptibility to balls into the box is something other championship managers have mentioned, as a weakness in the Hibs team and the manager's mindset. For Stubbs read stubborn (or brainless, like certain other managers).
The semi should take care of itself, yet our manager has to let the players take a bit more control.
What I'm saying is, our team is better when they ignore the management 'instructions'.
