By the time Thompson leaves our club him and Justine will have raked in a fortune.
 

I admire Pat's outlook in as much as he felt it would be more pro-active to write to the club his concerns rather than type them all down on here.

In my personal experience though the club rarely reply to fan correspondence.

Though no harm in trying I suppose.

We need Thompson to come out now and tell everyone exactly where we stand. Although i have my doubts that the truth would be told as he has proven so many times in the past its all lies.

One of the main reasons why I liked this forum so much, especially in the beginning, was that most of the posters on here were cordial, pleasant and had great banter between each other. We certainly didn't share the same opinions on a variety of things United related or not, but we still had a good camaraderie between each other, something that has been missing on here for a while for a variety of reasons.

I don't understand how things can be so black and white as in if you don't vent or stand up to here about certain issues then you suffer it, or support it. Pat has already mentioned that he has been pro-active about how he feels with the chairman and the running of the board, and that he has written him. Fooky has gone a step further and sat down with someone in the boardroom at Tannadice regarding both matters. And just because they don't post stuff about it doesn't mean to say they are burying their heads in the sand, just like a lot of other people on this board.

If you could find me a supporter or fan that thinks everything is going great and that there is nothing wrong then please I would like to meet him as well to tell him or her that I'll have what there having, as they are surely not seeing what most of us are seeing. Would I like to see a change in the boardroom and the running of the club? Fuck yes! Would I be writing about it and going on about the same old things ad nauseam, then no, but thats my personal choice.

Thinking about our club and the situation we are in is the bleakest that I can remember for a very, VERY long time, it hasn't always been full of roses but I find it hard to find any grains of positivity lately. I liked to come on here and commiserate with fellow posters, know that someone else out there is feeling just as shit about things, and maybe, just maybe we could make each other feel a wee bit better about things with having a laugh, do the off topic stuff, or just talking things through.

Lately there has been a feeling that there is a growing division on this board with the supposed 'Thompson head bury fans' and the people who want 'Thompson out'. This is not something I wanted to see happen, as most, if not all of the 'sand dwellers' would probably like to see change at the top as well. The more we get beat, doomed, and shite on and off the park, the more the division becomes. People get more angry about the situation and more people get defensive about the forum and it just ends in a no win tit-for-tat.

Tek put a post up recently about regular posters on TT, if you look at the top 10 posters in the user list, 4 have went AWOL and 4 others only have posted only a few times in the past few weeks, if at all recently. The reason I don't post much is that, as I mentioned before, I come on here looking to get cheered up, to commiserate with how shit things are and to try and get through this horrible feeling of every time I think about things at United it feels like the wind gets knocked out of me. Everyone on here cares! This is not a personal thing against you Bowers, I have so much respect for what you do on match days etc. and I have always been encouraging to you. It doesn't have to be a them against us because of things we say or don't say on this board, I just want this board to be a place where we can all go to and feel shit together and maybe even crack a smile about things. If its other peoples bag to try and get into fights or whatever then there are other boards that can serve that purpose if thats what makes them feel better about things.

And please, anyone who is reading this and doesn't contribute to any of the off-topic stuff then I implore you to please reconsider, it might help take your mind of things and also Tek puts a hell of a lot of hard work into it and I know it would be greatly appreciated. If the competitions aren't your thing then there is a lot more off topic stuff that you can look and contribute too, I told Tek I had to sit out of The Kinks and Bowie comps because I only know Waterloo Sunset from the Kinks, and the only David Bowie album I own is the Labyrinth soundtrack! Oh the shame! 

In closing, this is not a personal attack on anyone, I hope it doesn't kick off another round of back and forth. Trust me I want what I think everyone else wants on here and that is for United to be good again on and off the park, no matter what it needs to take, oh and more sunny days would be nice as well instead of this wet and windy weather pish!

Maybe ST is working is backside off. Maybe him and Mixu were making massive efforts to sign quality players. But there's no communication to that effect. Now rumours are abound that we are selling players because we are in financial trouble...? Despite the massive influx of transfer fees over the past 18 months? The fans need to hear more from ST about OUR club. With more communication he can manage the relationship with the fans better and not put himself in a position where he has to take as much flack?

As has been said its a fan forum. Not everyone will agree on every topic if they did the forum would be dead. 
If you went back through posts on here mad etc you would see the troublemakers and liars comments.

Over the past year several people and posters not just on here on all forums social media in the pub have buried there heads in the sand regarding things. Now im not going to sit here and get into a discussion about it as imo its been done to death time and time again now. 
The internet is an easy place for people to log on and vent there anger/frustration and give there opinion however they feel on any given subject whether it be how poor the chairman is doing or how good Spittals free kicks were in 2 games.

As for this forum.. Its the best ive contributed to and imo people spitting the dummy out and not posting going awol etc due to not agreeing with people is just childish. I dont think anyone wants to have a fanbase split in two far from it and all want whats best for our club at the end of the day. 
I get involved in alot of different threads on here and feel there is much less negative ones towards thompson the board or whats went on the past year. Yes most still want the regime out but there is still major problems and these will continue to be posted on forums and social media as they are places for fans to discuss things.  

On your last bit, I didnt start this thread with the intent to have a back and forth with anyone myself or for others to have one, I just feel once again that the whole fanbase needs to know exactly how Dundee United Football Club is sitting financially. 
That is needing clarified ASAP.
