The towel has well and truly been thrown in.

Re: DEADLINE DAY

Apparently there has been contact with Partick on the Erskine/Lawless swap - no idea if it's going to happen though.

For those who thought Higdon might be one to go for Sheffield have agreed to tear up his contract - but I reckon if he comes up here Hearts will be where he goes as they'll need to replace Sow.

Re: DEADLINE DAY

Higdon has had his contract cancelled by Sheffield United. ..... I'd be happy if he's united bound but can't see it.

Need 1 or 2 in for sure though

If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Re: DEADLINE DAY

Sources close to deal tell @SkySportsNewsHQ that agreement is "very close" between #Hearts and #DundeeUtd for transfer of John Souttar

I give up, we are basically giving up so what the fucking point in us going to watch them week in week out especially with the Fucking pathetic performances we've been seeing all season! Utter utter disgrace

Re: DEADLINE DAY

Have to say I'm not over fussed if Souttar goes providing the money is right

It's plain he doesn't want to be here (given the contract he knocked back, when we weren't even in the relegation mire) and frankly I don't think we need someone whose not committed in the side during a relegation battle

Re: DEADLINE DAY

The reason im no happy is we've signed two inexperienced players to our league, we had a great chance to be honest buy our way out of this situation at the start of the Window and we haven't, then too lose souttar is a wee bit of a kick in the teeth

Pretty much sums it up.

Hearts will be a good move for him and get him back on track.

As for the rest of the lack of activity, can't say I'm surprised, although I still think something will happen later tonight, but can't see it being anything to excite us.

Re: DEADLINE DAY

We needed a centre half, a winger and a target man! We signed riski fuck knows where he plays and tbh no expecting to much from him, from what I've seen and signing the right back on loan, we'll just need to wait and see

Re: DEADLINE DAY

If we really want to bide up then we need new players in. Not that difficult to comprehend. We all know that. There's been plenty time to identify players and get them in.  Absolutely baffled at the lack of signings.

Re: DEADLINE DAY

Cant actually believe we are about to go into the final stages of the season with that defence. Actually fukin gutted.

Re: DEADLINE DAY

We needed a decent centre half, a pacey winger and a big striker at the start of the season. 6 months, 2 transfer windows and 2 managers later, we are still waiting. Shocking. Do managers not get paid enough to do actual scouting these days or something????

Re: DEADLINE DAY

I was expecting one or two Scandinavian signings in defence, probably earlier in the window too. So I'm as puzzled as many others as to what is happening regarding signing policy.

Damage was done during October/November/December when we fell further and further behind.

Try persuading a player to sign for a club that's 14 (now 11) points behind.

Try persuading a board to commit to a players wages at SPFL levels when they might be facing a massive income drop next season.

This was always going to be a month of moving people on and bringing in loan signings.

Have been disappointed with the loan side of things to be fair - begs the question, does Mixu have knowledge of the right markets, does he lack the right UK contacts?

Re: DEADLINE DAY

Re: DEADLINE DAY

To make things worse! We have accepted a bid of around £150,000 for souttar, this is fucking outrageous considering how much we payed for telfer, Thompson has once again jumped at the money, disgraceful

Re: DEADLINE DAY

I can't believe we've accepted 150k.

I can only assume we've managed to wangle a sell on percentage into the deal or something.. otherwise WTAF?

We would have got at least that for his development fee in the Summer (probably more).

Re: DEADLINE DAY

As Hearts have taken a forward on loan from Feyenoord we can maybe go back to praying for Higdon...

Would the development fee not have depended on him going to a Scottish club and if the fee not agreed to a tribunal.

I think there's some kind of fixed rate if he went abroad and not much money to be had from that...not sure about England but think that counts as an international transfer too?
