Pitch inspection at 11am.

Would be surprised if games not canned.

Given they weren't planning an inspection, this might be the case. But the weather forecast has been constant for the last couple of days, so maybe this is a simple precaution.

Re: v Partick Thistle, 30/01/2016

A few of my mates are flying up from London for it.

They phoned Partick just before boarding their flight after that came through.

According to Thistle the game will definitely go ahead - the inspection is just a precaution.

Re: v Partick Thistle, 30/01/2016

How on earth could this game be off considering the conditions they played in against Dundee, something very fishy about this! Maybe a wee bit scared ?

Re: v Partick Thistle, 30/01/2016

Ken no one can control the weather but that's embarrassing. Dinna ken what the weathers like on the west coast but ehve played Sunday league matches in worse conditions. Your mates must be f***ing spewing T6.

Re: v Partick Thistle, 30/01/2016

Sorry about the duff information lads! My mates are understandably fucking raging at the boy who answered the phone at Firhill.

Sickener for them. They were at the gates at Stansted when the announcement was made re inspection. Reckon they would have got on the flight anyway but a bit shit to have your hopes built up like that.

Day on the pish in Glasgow it is!

Morph your absolutely correct. Modern matches are called off far too easily these days, a bit of water on the park so what, get on with it. Unless it's like drumgieth get The game on.

Seen a couple of pictures of the pitch taken a short time ago on Twitter: have to say not a lot wrong with the park apart from one section.

Re: v Partick Thistle, 30/01/2016

Can't see why Partick would want this aff, they wont get anything like the crowd they would have got today in a mid week game?

We don't give a damn what the others say
We'll cheer on United all the way
For we are the Terrors of Tannadice

Partick probably didn't want the game off, but referee Andrew Dallas most certainly did.

Maybe because he genuinely thought the pitch was unplayable, or maybe he has other things to do in Glasgow today. Who knows?

Re: v Partick Thistle, 30/01/2016

Ridiculous when junior games are going ahead in Glasgow today and ours isn't.

Re: v Partick Thistle, 30/01/2016

It'll be that one wee patch where the grass is bare that's got it canned.

Really dissapointing.

Re: v Partick Thistle, 30/01/2016

I don't subscribe to this 'Partick were scared' talk btw lol.

We've won 1 league game in 4 months lads and Partick are still 12 points ahead of us.

If they had beat us today they know they are no longer in the mix for automatic relegation.

Re: v Partick Thistle, 30/01/2016

What is odd is that there's no way that patch went like that overnight.

Did no one realise that it might be a problem before today?

And there's no way Partick wanted it off, it only takes 1 small patch to get a game off.
