punt him now mate. He's no use to us now. If he's not interested then fuck him.

I'm pretty sure the remainder of his contract will be ripped up by 'mutual consent' allowing him to go in this window. But it shouldn't (and surely won't) happen until January 31st.We play Thistle at Firhill on the 30th.We obviously won't play him in this but we can't be strengthening them for it either as you just know what would happen.
He will be cup tied for them a week later anyway.
Let him go on the 31st by all means,as you can't have a player stay around who's head+hearts already with a rival.BUT NO SOONER.

Agree, let him go now, conflict of interest at worst, cannae be arsed at best.
If there's a decent Thistle defender in the same boat swap him for Erskine.
We don't know the details, it's likely United told him he wasn't going to get a contract from us so he was right to take the Thistle deal. No hard feelings, he had a good 6 months in a largely disappointing three years.
ETA - Just see TEK's post above, if we do let him go now there must be an agreement that he can't play against us in the two league games, and the cup if he's not cup tied (can't remember if he played agaist Airdrie).

Might be wrong Andy but think that, while you can agree for a loanee to not play against you, any restrictions on a signed player playing against the team he signed from are against the SPFL rules.

That rings a bell, I think you're right.
Put him on loan there until the end of the season then with Thistle paying his wages and invoke that clause.

I'd let him play against us TBH. He's shite.

I'd rather not chance it. Situations like this can bite us on the arse. Especially with our current defence!

We, the support, certainly don't deserve what we are currently going through. Mind you, if you have given up all hope already I guess I can't really blame you. I have supported United through thick and thin for more than 70 years, and this is certainly the lowest I have ever known the club. What the solutions to our problems may be I have no idea. People are calling for ST to leave, taking Mixu and some of the players with him. That might work if replacements can be found. A big IF, though. How many folk are prepared to board a ship which, to all intents and purposes, is seen to be floundering? I, like probably all others here, can't possibly know what is before us, but in the end, whatever happens, it's outwith my control, and I just have to find the courage to accept the things I cannot change.

Erskine is utter shite but sadly he is probably one of our best players that's how bad we are at moment
