Fair Play should be enough.

no for me...imho the shed should just be for away fans at all time.....we should get the main stands at big games

Re: Should we keep The Shed for the Cup Derby ?

Definitely shouldn't get it all, imo the shed and fair play should be their lot as that equates to what we're getting at Dens in terms of seats. My only drawback to this is the silly segregation arrangement imposed for last year's fixture versus Aberdeen where a whole section was left empty in the Jerry Kerr. No need for that, even Old Firm segregation at the piggery is only a few seats width at most.

I sincerely hope Utd either keep The Shed or the JK for Arabs.

First Cup game of the season, first home Derby,no on the telly.

I reckon we would sell oot 3 stands.

Re: Should we keep The Shed for the Cup Derby ?

Do you think shooting towards your own fans helps teams? We always seem to do better shooting towards the ET now i know there is a slight slop at Tannadice but does this make such a difference?

I think it does MD,particulary if you're the away side.Which is one other reason i wouldn't let the Dee have a stand behind the goal.

When i think of the goals the Old Firm have scored against us at tannadice through the years,to my mind a large percentage of them always seem to be at the Shed end where their fans are housed.

Maybe that's just my (incorrect) perception though.

Re: Should we keep The Shed for the Cup Derby ?

I would keep the shed initially and see how ticket sales go, I'm sure we could fill it.

I'm sure it would make a difference to the team when they are shooting towards the shed it being full of Utd fans. Hate when Celtic and Aberdeen are at Tannadice and we have a corner up that end.

Re: Should we keep The Shed for the Cup Derby ?

i must admit i seem to remember most of our goals being towards the shed when i was a loon but now it seems to be when we are shooting towards the ET!

Were not keeping The Shed

Arabs in the Dode,ET and JK.

Also a £2.25 handling charge when buying your tickets. Now i know that is fairly common these days but tbh i really think they take the piss with that. How much is a 1st class stamp ? 60p.

Rip off Tek, I bought my ST and 3 Leeds tickets In one go (£395), they reluctantly waved the charge...

Edit to say; The River Tay width segregation at Tannadice in between the Jerry Kerr and Fair Play stands is by request of the match commander and not D.U.F.C so im led to believe. What I find hard to swallow here is that I really doubt it's necessary and costs the Club/s over £10,000 in revenue. (if all sold) It remains to be seen if the match commander at the Dens Park Derby applies the same logic with the segregation arrangements in their main stand. If so one can only presume he's out of touch with the reality of a Dundee derby these days.

Re: Should we keep The Shed for the Cup Derby ?

That's just another reason why i would have preffered we kept the Shed tbh mate.

It would have meant no seggy needed between the Jerry Kerr and Jim McLean, meaning more tickets sold and more money in our coffers.

Not quite Tek as this neanderthal match commander would have imposed the same segregation between the Jerry Kerr and the East Stand but never mind for now as both games have not yet sold out but if they do, questions should be raised at Club level. Tayside Police/Police Scotland or whatever already get paid huge sums to control these games but it seems they would prefer to police an empty stadium. Is this a consequence of the mishandling of our Europa League tie with Dinamo Moscow? Fossil Fuzz
