Aye he was garbage, but he has been out best player this season and has ability to I'll cut him some slack. He does need to toughen up though and quickly.

Agree with this, he has been a shining light in a horrific spell since the Chairman sold our Soul. First half yesterday he kept coming short for it and we just blootered it over his head.
Young lads should be treated with kid gloves, we are now starting to make them scapegoats for others horrific decisions.

I don't think anybody is making any of the young lads scapegoats... but facts are facts - if they don't perform, then they don't perform. I'd rather a you lad got taken out the team than we pander to somebody who isn't performing.

These boys are all we have.

Then, unfortunately that puts them in the firing line.
The boy has done well since he's broken into the team, no one's denying that. All that's being pointed out are his flaws. He had an absolute howler yesterday which is of course allowed, but the pulling out of tackles and apparent lack of effort is not allowed.

Frightening that we are describing young lads with less than a dozen appearances to their name as being 'in the firing line'.
They are only first picks every week because our Chairman and management team wanted to fill the team with young lads to make more money.
Pulling out of tackles is not on, but at the end of the day we were all laddies playing v men at some point, you need help.
Be as well closing the doors if they are the ones getting the blaim for our downfall.

OK, maybe the wrong choice of words but I'm sure you know exactly what I mean.
It's what it is, unfortunately if they play, they're up for criticism.
Amazing how a thread about Scott Fraser ends up slating the Chairman.

When the pressure is on the younger players tend to have poor games, that is why most normal managers don't have 7 players under 22 in their starting 11's
If we are to continue to play Souttar Spittal Fraser Zwick Connolly Durnan every week the only way is down.
At least a few people lined their pockets in the last year

Silver, you said at the start of the season the fans need to be patient. Now you are saying young guys who have been thrown in and played about s dozen games are in the firing line??
They are not to blame.

I'm not blaming them mate, far from it. I appreciate a few of them are only in there because of injuries etc. What I am saying is, whilst they're on the park, and we sense a lack of effort, they're as fair game as the seasoned pro's are.
I think Fraser is a very good prospect. It annoys me that he's so one footed tho. It also annoyed me that he pulled out of at least 2 50/50's. I can take bad performances, I can't accept half hearted shit.

The three of them need a rocket up their backsides , I'm struggling to remember the last time any of them had a half decent game , come to think about it same could be said about the whole squad

Absolutely Silver I would agree with that I would never criticize a young player for a poor game however there is no excuse for pulling out of 50/50 tackles, if we continue to lose midfield battles we will continue to lose games.

Fans will never accept players bottling tackles no matter how talented they are.

Scary how quick the grief has turned on the young lads, now Jackies gone it's like who we picking on now.
Confidence in the squad is shot, due to the complete lack of management the teams had all year and the fact the recent signings are, except McKay, absolute pish. Young players will always take longer to rebuild confidence, we ain't turning any corner overnight here.
There is no way the likes of Souttar, Spittal and now Fraser should be getting the slagging they are. What makes it worse is the same guys wanting Erskine and Paton back asap, must be all those 50/50s Erskine wins or Patons super range of passing.

Heard from a source (reliable of course) that the kid hus been carrying a back injury the past couple of weeks, but big Mixu rates um very highly and is desperate tae get um in his team! Saying a lot that a half fit Fraser is still our most important and valuable assets hope he doesn't go in Jan wid benifet from a full season or twa playing week in week oot at tanna.

If he is playing through a back injury then that's totally unacceptable from the club, better performance from Scott today, he will kick on from today, and I saw a little more spirit from the team today

Yer saying unacceptable Sid but that's based on fuckall knowledge and a smidgen of inside info regarding the back injury, yer jumping the gun. One thing criticising tactics but yer no a physio involved.
Watch his after match interview on the zone bud. He's trying to last the full match and delighted with the opportunity.
Glad to hear they got 'battered' in training all week. Possibly verbally as well as physically.

Also watched his interview on the zone seems like a level headed young man despite the rumours and everyone seeming to rely on um to produce something oot his erse like he did yesterday (pen), looks like he is getting fitter and hallelujah he tried a shot with his right fecking foot! Onwards and upwards now for the shed I hope! Great talent
