The opening game of the tournament witnessed a surprisingly low key affair won quite easily by former-Cup Winning forward DAVID GOODWILLIE and as a consequence will now enter the 2nd Round as a seed.Joining him in the 2nd Round (albeit unseeded) will be 70's Star ANDY GRAY who finished runner-up.Eliminated from the Cup at the first hurdle are Sergio Gomes and Warren Feeney.Both players failed to register a single vote.

Just noticed this new competiton, but my vote for Andy Gray would have made no difference in round one.

Jim McIntyre for this round, he mostly played in a poor United side and carried us through many difficult games. Should have been capped for Scotland, and of course would have been, if Glasgow based.
