Strachan did it at Middlesborough. Jackie is known though for holding out for every penny so I reckon he'll hold out for every penny

Stuart McCall finished 3rd...2nd...2nd with Motherwell who have about half our budget (also took them to Scottish Cup Final and 2 other Semi's).Had to lose (yet again) all his best players in Summer of 2013/14 with no money for replacements and despite the season only being about 3 months old decided that he wasn't producing a team worthy of Motherwell FC in his book.So what did he do?He walked away and let someone else have a shot.

THAT is integrity.
 

 I thought McCall walked to line the way to manage The Rangers. He would have known what was happening, but did what he did to make people think it was integrity.

Nah I'm no buying that tbh Randy.McCoist was still at Rangers at the time.

I think McCall just walked because he didn't want to be remembered for taking Motherwell down after previously doing so well there.

Personal attacks are unacceptable for anyone including Jackie and ST.  But, ST really needs to come out and say something to the fans now about where the club is going.  If it's Southern that presents the new manager rather than Thompson then I for one will be well and truly pissed off about the lack of leadership he is offering.
