The 8th 'castaway' we are joined by is Mock Chop.
Mr Chop you have been destined to spend the rest of your days on an isolated island somewhere in the middle of the South Pacific Ocean.![]()

In an extremely lucky quirk of fate however there is big package washed up on shore.......when you open the said package you find a cd walkman, headphones and what would appear to be a 50 year supply of AA batteries.
If you could pick any 8 albums to take with you on the Island...what albums would those be Sir? And can you give a small insight into why you've chosen each one please?

You can take 2 books with you.
1 that you've previously read and 1 that that you always meant to get round too.
Which books and why?
Offline

Which person would you miss the most?
Offline

If you could take one Dundee Utd match on video to watch over and over again...what match would you choose?
Offline

What one other inanimate object would you take with you on the island if you could?
Offline

What one alcoholic drink would you take with you if you could?
Offline

What ONE album would you save if the tide started washing them away and you only had time to retrieve just one?
Offline

And finally as the sun set on the Island for the final time in your life what song would you like to play out?
Mr Chop, I thank you Sir.
Offline

And one last thing.
Could you pick next weeks 'castaway' please Sir?
Trap_6
Grantomac
Rocky Raccoon
The Macho Man (Can't do it till mid-Sept)

Boring answer, as I'm nit much of a reader but I did enjoy Roy Keane's autobiography. He is a whalloper at times I know. But it's a good read.
A book I'd like to read? The Duncan Ferguson one sounds promising.

Well, I'm getting married in a week & have 2 lovely kids so I'd have to say....
Slammy.
I'd miss that bugger. A misunderstood gentleman.

I'd choose "Asleep" by The Smiths. Morose, lovely, quaint. A cold Peroni on my wee island while that song plays me out.
That, or anything by Little Mix

Normally, a nice Stella. But I'd have to say a cold Peroni.

I'll leave the obvious ones.
I'll go for Rangers (RIP) 2 Dundee Utd 3
Ibrox 2011.
Goodwillie racing through to grab the winner at the death, could watch it over & over. It was a great away day having been scudded out of the cup we were defending, 3-0 at Fir Park just a few days previous.
The band of soldiers in the away corner had a ball. We deserved it.

Here goes.
1) The Queen Is Dead - The Smiths.
Could well be the best album ever released in my humble opinion.
2) Favourite Worst Nightmares - Arctic Monkeys
Folk said they couldn't possibly have a second album in them. They did, and they bettered it. Listen to Old Yellow Bricks. Totally taps aff.
3) Be Here Now - Oasis
Ok, it's far from their best. But it's under rated, and I think it stands up and more people are 'getting it' now.
4) A Grand Don't Come For Free - The Streets
Had it on yesterday. A 'concept album' as it has a story that runs through it. But enjoyable, doesn't age well but takes me back.
5) Kings of Leon - Youth & Young Manhood
Just sublime. Bluesy rock the way God intended.
6) U2 - Boy
No one's favourite band, but this is 1980 post punk stuff. "I Will Follow" and "The Electric Co." are top tunes. I recommend you revisit.
7) Justice - A Cross The Universe
An outstanding live album, if you're into that kinda music.
8) Nirvana - MTV Unpugged
Was talking to Tek the other night about this. It's amazing, captures where Kurt was at the time. Angry, vulnerable & on top live form. Please go & listen to "Where Did You Sleep Last Night?"
Those are just 8, I could give 8 more. I could've broadened it out a bit.....

A "No Paton No Party" sticker for the palm tree I'll sleep under.

The Queen Is Dead, I'd save that. So I could play the title track when the old ride pops her clogs.

Some great choices there Sir.
I've always rated 'Be Here Now'.It gets a bad press (even fae Noel G) but it's got a few gems on there (Magic Pie,The Girl In The Dirty Shirt,My Big Mouth,Stand By Me,All Around The World).I still find it a really enjoyable listen and it (possibly like you) reminds me of a great time in my life.Ken what/...it's my favourite Oasis album.
Thon Streets album is a corker.
And no more needs said about Nirvana Unplugged or 'Asleep' by The Smiths ![]()
p.s. will need to listen too the Justice album, that's a new yin on me mate.

It's Getting Better, Man... also a great song. The guitar solo in the middle bars is great

Cracker.Liam's vocals are great on those tracks...proper rock'n'roll record.
Did you know Johnny Depp plays guitar on 'Fade In/Fade Out'?
