Seating Arrangements

Was gonna post this on the singing section thread but it's a wee bit of a different gripe.

It's really starting to bug me that we are giving the shed away at games whilst our fans are housed in the JK.

Was against the closure of the shed from the beginning and nothing has changed my mind since. The atmosphere generated from teams such as Celtic, Aberdeen and Dundee when in a full shed is excellent and definitely gives their teams a lift. Why United thought it'd be good to shut the Shed and only offer it to away fans is absolutely fucking mind boggling, especially considering it's the most well known stand for atmosphere.

Why we don't give the JK and FP to away fans and allow our own fans back in there is beyond me, would probably help that singing section get a few more people without the fuss its cause and would kill the atmosphere for away fans.

Absolute embarrassment that we roll the carpet oot for away fans, the shed is and should always be a home stand. Looking at the FP and JK last night, if you took away the divider and moved our fans back in to the shed, I would have reckoned only a few away fans would've missed out on tickets.

Anyone else feel the same, or am eh just miserable because eh sat in the shed every week for 4 years :-(

EDIT: the reasoning for shutting the shed was meant to be stewarding costs, just how much does opening the JK instead save us? Eh'd hazard very very little.

Re: Seating Arrangements

Moving the away fans to the jerry kerr in itself would generate more of an atmosphere as they are just to far away from our fans in the fair play.

Laugh now but one day we'll be in charge.

Re: Seating Arrangements

Purely a cost savine measure by Utd. Basically the Shed is only opened 6 league games a season currently.

Yeah we shut the shed to home fans to cut costs..

We then open the Jerry kerr stand instead when there is no need to for the majority of games.

Waste of time and money that they where supposed to be cut.
