suppose to be getting him on loan for season, if this is true then i think its a great signing excellent young player who could have a great career ahead of him

Seen him at tannadice and he stood out a mile, and when the gms and stretch saga was going down I mentioned to Bugsy that he should have been a part of the deal,so hope this is true!the only down side is I would think Soutar would be going the other way plus ££££

Interesting. Very highly rated. Spent the 2nd half of the season on loan in Norway and apparently showed up well. Right sided midfielder I think. I've not seen enough of him to get overly excited, but I'm happy enough with a loan deal if he is viewed to be better than what we have in his position.

Zippy also that Celtic under 20 side was the best side I seen at tannadice all last season in any age group ,👌

Has always looked good against us. He's the geezer McGowan chopped down in the quarters for his red. Don't really like signing players on loan though

Good ain. It was 3 zip by then. Fooky was driving us back to Dundee by that stage

Mate of mines avid celtic man, heard same thing. Good player but personally not keen on United developing a rival clubs player for them. Our best players might end up there anyway but at least we get some cash for our trouble. I'd rather we didnt develop a rival player at the expense of one of our own.

If he will improve us, it's a no brainer. Loan or no loan.
We're desperate for someone that can make things happen.

So we spend a fortune on a youth system and pay a lot of money for young players from other clubs and then decide to take a Celtic player on loan so that we can get him up to speed for Celtic next season?
No thanks. I'd rather play Paton

so is he the lad with twa broken legs whose career was destroyed?

Haha
If we get him we get him. He's highly rated. I'd rather we developed our own though. If we get him watch how the media only ever ask him about Celtic.
It annoys me.

Ken what you mean but if you think about what we've got coming thru in similar positions , they're no good enough. . . . Yet.
Justin Johnson? Nowhere near it.
Connelly? Hasn't pushed on. Disappointing tbh
What I've seen of the lad, he'd improve us and that'll do for me. He's got a goal threat too.

This.
Btw Henderson is a defensive midfielder, not a right-sided player. I think a lot of you are getting him mixed up with Cameron McGregor who played for for them early doors last season and who is a right-sided creative player. Henderson is nothing more than a niggly wee hammer thrower. As said before, we'd be as well not bothering with a youth system anymore.

Had it in my head that he was an attacking Midfielder.
El shut ma puss.

Guess it will make a change if we develop a player for them and get absolutely nothing for it...
And if he happens to come and turn out well, he won't be able to play against them - thus upsetting our team....
Is this confirmation that JS id away though?
Surely we don't need rankin paton souttar AND henderson in there?

He's probably better than ANY of our young players apart from John Souttar.
Celtic don't need to send him to Dundee Utd to 'develop him' btw. He's just played half a season at a bigger club than us in Rosenborg and by all accounts done very well.
If there's any truth in it i just hope it's not with John Souttar heading the other way and this is some kind of 'sweetener'.
Personally i don't think it will happen.Though Deila was apparently just asked about him going on loan on SSN and said 'We shall see'.That would be a definite 'NO' if he wasn't IMO.
Watch this space i guess.

I'd rather have Aids than develop THEIR player for them.
Fuck him, fuck Celtic and fuck our youth system while we're at it.

has he played at a bigger club than united??? The tippeligaen isn't that good tbh. Rosenborg are historically good but haven't wont he league in 5 years, according to wiki (i know, i know)... didn't st johnstone beat them a year or 2 ago???
If hes going to be a massive difference then yeah, i'd probabaly accept it- however, if hes only going to be a slight improvement, then i'd rather we worked on our players.....
