Been reading loads about what happened to Ian Curtis and so forth, really interesting stuff. Always loved this band but wish I'd been a little bit older to enjoy them in their hayday.
Think this youtube song is really interesting. One of their first performances since their lead man hung himself, you can tell Bernard (Barny) is nervous as f uck but it's a proper good raw performance.

Great band. Started off as a New Order fan but now prefer Joy Division. So many great tracks. Unknown Pleasures is a great album. Power, Corruption and Lies is my fav New Order track

yeah mate, just learning more and more about the Joy Division days. The music is class but its quite obvious to see even in their performances that Ian Curtis was losing it. He looked positively ill all the time.
Some good music came out of the early 80's, wish I was a bit older to have experienced shows like this one.

I've seen New Order 3 times. Once at Ballowlands and twice at The Academy.
There is a cracking Joy Division documentary on YouTube
This BBC Factory Records documentary is ace as well
The films Control and 24 hour party people are decent watches as well.

These were well good, watched both of them. Further enhanced my soft spot for all things Manchester!

Manchester is a great city. Been a few times. Love The Smiths. Got a picture of me outside Salford Lads Club

What about The Fall RRDH? You a fan of them? Got into them about 8 years ago. Totally obsessed by them now.

Love New Order but their latest single release Restless
Joy division are epic , more of an art form , a cult -nobody has ever sounded like them and i doubt ever will
Love Will Tear Us apart always gets held up as the best song and is the track which gets played most often -this does a massive disservice to their other work -which is pretty bleak but astounding.

Unknown Pleasures always sounds magic when played in the motor when you're driving at night. Particularly in a city. It sounds post industrial

Interpol had a stab at sounding like them.

Ive never really given them a go Hunted. My mate over here from Sheffield loves them though so I probably should. I'm a bit streaky with music, find something I like and go on massive binges where it's all I listen to for months.
New Order/Chvches/Radiohead all i've listened to for a bout a year... sad chunt eh!

I thought Chvches played for Tottenham.
