900k. Miserable b@stards.

Would have to be way more than that to make a sale to Celtic worthwhile due to the resulting fan uproar it would undoubtedly cause. £1.7m to Boro would be decent IMO but don't see that actually coming in tbh.... Be happy to be proved wrong though!!

Would bite your hand off for 1.7 million for Hannibal Lecter...

Me either, IF Boro (or anyone else) do bid, I can't see it being much more than about £1m prob with add ons taking it up a bit but be absolutely delighted to be wrong 😉

I don't think I can find the words to describe how much I hate Celtic. Fuck them and their worthier than worthy fans.

I'm confused by our support: generally, we'd be as keen as fuck to get rid of Ciftci it seems, for £1.7 million, yet we are still angry at selling Armstrong and Mackay-Steven.
Is it the selling to Celtic that we're against (as I am), or mainly just selling? Or is the price right this time, but it wasn't when we sold the two at the tail end of January?

I think/hope Soapy has better advisors and greater horizons than be led to Parkhead, but, certainly, I see him going somewhere soonish.

Flabbergasted at the money being quoted here tbh.
No really caring whar he goes, all I ask is that if he is going, he goes NOW to allow us time to prepare.

I doubt we'd keep Souttar beyond the end of next season anyway. If he continues to show what he's shown in midfield, he'll be subject to a few bids, and that's when we'll sell.
The difference is if he signs a new contract then we'll get more money.

Was selling to they poppy dodging bastards for less than than Armstrong was worth after saying we didn't need to sell plus the fact we had a cup final and quarter final to play in, weaken our team to strengthen a rival, fucking good ane !

Right lets hope this gets done quickly as has been stated as we don't really have time to piss about for two weeks trying to squeeze another £50k out of an offer. He'll more than likely be banned for the first couple of months so lets get shot now and get someone else in hopefully with at bit of expereince

What percentage do the club get of any sale?
Not trying to bring up old arguments but surely there needs to be a balance between selling to be worth it and selling for the sake of it...
Say for arguments sake, we get 1m.
Off comes tax - so down to what 800k? It's rumoured nadir has a hefty chunk of a fee owed to him - so say 20% - leaves us with 640k. Another 10% to management team - leaves us with 560k.
Can you balance up cup wins and league points against that? And that's only in monetary terms.
Consider the fact that fans actually like to win things and it's maybe not worth our while

Tbh that's more than double what I thought they would offer, expected an opening bid of £300k or so.
A player we got for nothing, two good seasons from him, clear £500k+ with replacements already in place (albeit not of his standard) is good business considering we still have loads of debt.
I've read on here that the chairman said he wouldn't be sold to Celtic, although I've never seen that quote from ST and even if he did say it I bet he'll say he meant January.
Obviously would much rather he went to Boro, and personally I would take a bit less than what Celtic offered if he went there.

guess it would free up wages for new signings too.
I'd imagine his new deal was a 'bumper' deal? At a guess 2.5K per week?????

Has it actually been a 900k upfront bid or is it 900k with add ons?
